Story idea
I'm having an idea for a story called "Inevitability."
Two scholars are brothers. Their study of science and philosophy led them to a theory that the modern perspectives of time, fated or completely undetermined, are wrong. They discover that what will be, will be, regardless of what determines it.
The two discover (somehow) a hidden treasure with the power to reveal destinies. It shows you your death and reveals to you its date.
Both get the vision before the item is somehow destroyed. Both take the vision as ultimate power. They now know how and when it will all end, so until then, they can do anything they want.
One of the men decides to be a hero of sorts, no longer afraid of dying and already knowing from his vision that he will not experience any permenant injuries. He tries to save lives by fighting crime and "risking" his life.
The other realizes his gifts potential for power. He will not end up in a jail, seriously injured or die for his deeds, at least until the appointed time.
The hero begins a crusade to stop our villain, but there's a problem. The inevitability that saves him, also spares his former friend.
How do you stop a man you can't kill or imprison? Is knowing the future really the ultimate power? Is it all really inevitable?

It sounds great. I had to write a paper on determinism in my intro to philosophy class. So, I appreciate this kind of topic.

I totally agree with Candrah, good story idea but find a different title. The title is horrible to tell you the truth.

Sounds intrigingly complicated.
I wouldn't worry over the title too much, a new one may come to you. But I quite like it.

The story intself sounds like it could aspire to be really amazing. The title to me sounds like it fits the story, but I guess it could be a tounge - twister during a conversation.
Post something soon, sounds great!

"inevitable" Is probably a better idea... I was also thinking "What will be". "Fate" would be a bad idea. "Fate" is often a different concept than inevitability. Fate often means by super natural means, inevitable expresses that something simply will happen.
An actual story... that's gonna be a while I'm afraid. Sorry to disappoint. I'm still hashing out the plot and I'm still making my comic series the Phantom Wolf and Werewolves. Even after that, I have a series I'd love to eventually get back to called "Paid to Kill" that was planned to be a novel series. Yes... I write a lot of stuff. I'm not the best writer in the world (hence I'm not published), but certainly an experienced one.

We're all experienced... But it takes a certain amount of balls to browbeat those celebrity loving publishers into submission
I'm watching this space...

This sounds really cool. If it were published, I would buy it and read it in a day. Write it!
