Here's the next chapter, it was hard for me to go back to filler, and I'm sure those of you who enjoyed it so far wont feel it is as epic for awhile. I originally planned for this story to end on chapter 10, but felt it should go on longer.

How much longer? Not even i know, until everything feels just right. I hope you enjoy!




"Aiden...Aiden, wake up!"

"Huh, What, what happened?" I asked in a daze

"You fainted...you ok?" Liam asked

"Uuh, i think so..." I said while adjusting my eyes

"Yeah, that kind of thing is not good for you, no matter how strong you are you were bound to shut down

sometime." Devin said as if he was teaching a kid

"Yeah, i guess you're right." I said back


"There you are!" A foreign voice yelled

"Oh, hey Virgil!" Devin said while looking somewhat nervous

"Devin, what are you doing here!?" Virgil asked with suspicion

"Uuuh, im just helping the kid, hes having some trouble with 'the' deadly faery." he responded

"Well, HE is coming, so we have to go!" Virgil said with haste

"Oh damn, im sorry Aiden i couldnt be of more help to you, but i have to go!" Devin said while running

"Devin, will we be able to get your help again!? Where could we find you!?" I yelled

"Uuh, you cant, only i can find you!" he replied

"What does that mean!?"

"It means...well i cant tell you...its a secret. But we really have to leave, see ya!"


There he goes, hes leaving us, he seemed like he knew what he was talking about regarding Sylph, we sure

could use him even still. Anyway, i dont really know what to do anymore, i dont even know how to beat a

faery, let alone one like this.

"Well theres not much we can do, he would have to show himself in order for us to do anything." I said

"Ok, i have to go babysit anyway." Liam said

"Babysit?" I questioned

"Yeah, my parents will be gone, so i have to watch my little brother." he replied

"Oh, ok...well be safe then." I said


Me, Carlow, and Galvin started walking to my house. None of us had anything better to do, so i planned to

ask my mom if they could spend the night. While we were walking, none of us said a word. I decided to look

around on the way, since i barely do that anymore. Besides the dome of trees, there was a couple of

rundown houses with a lot more vines than my grandmothers. It was a cloudless day, and the sun seemed to

be beating down on us pretty hard. The area we currently lived in was fairly enclosed, kind of like a

cultasac, except a bit bigger. Thats pretty much why we could see where everyone lived.

My stomach had a couple of sharp pains, and i remembered i hadnt eaten anything in a very long time.


"You guys hungry?" I asked

"Yeah!" They said in unison

I laughed "Okay, i will go see what my mother is cooking then."


I walked in and she was already cooking something. Pot roast, mashed potatoes and gravy. That made my

mouth water like a faucet.


"Hey boys, i figured you would stay since it was already late when you were talking to your imaginary

friend." My mom giggled

I rolled my eyes "Mom, what got you into such a cheery mood?" I asked

"Well, it appears grandma is going to be ok!" she said smiling

"Wow, really!?" I asked enthused

"Yeah, no telling when shell come back though, she just finished surgery, so it could be awhile."

"Lady Phiala is in the hospital!?" Carlow said alarmed

"Yeah, she had coronary heart disease." I answered

"Wow, im sorry." he replied

I laughed "You dont have to be, you heard the news!" I said with a huge smile

"Wow, i didnt know either." Galvin said

"Mom, where has dad been lately?" I asked in a concerned manner

"Oh, hes with grandma, he will be home by tonight." she replied

"Anyhow, how about you boys stop talking and eat." My mom suggested

"No argument there!" I said as i started scarfing

"Aiden, slow down!" she scolded


That night it was about eleven thirty PM, and me, Galvin, and Carlow were about ready to go to sleep. At

the time we were setting up our sleeping bags.


"I'm still bothered by the fact Sylph got away," Carlow said

"Yeah, we all are Carlow, but we have to sustain ourselves, otherwise it will drive us crazy." I continued

"That doesnt mean just eating and sleeping, but also conversing with loved ones."

"Yeah, your right." he responded

"Not to mention, we would work ourselves into a frenzy trying to find him now." Galvin added


While both of my new friends were asleep, i was still awake drinking in the silence. It felt good, the

past few days were pretty hectic, and for good reason. It felt good for once to just lie down and relax.

Then again, i know a part of me is still worried about Sylph. I know hes still out there, and until hes

stopped i cant fully rest.

At certain intervals i would drift to sleep then wake up again. I would keep this up until about five in

the morning. At which point i could hear the birds singing, and see a gentle glow coming from my window.

Mornings were great, and when Sylph is gone, i plan to fully explore what this place has to offer.

"Huh, whats that noise?" I whispered to myself

I could hear what sounded like a baby crying. It sounds like it was coming from outside. I thought it was

my imagination though and lied back down. After which point i heard it again, so i got up and looked out

my window. At first i couldnt see anything, but upon closer examination i could see a light glow coming

from the dome of trees.

"Guys...guys, wake up!" I yelled

"Huh, what!?" Carlow said in frustration

"Look, look over there!" I said while pointing to the dome

"Wow, what the hell!?" Carlow said while he opened his eyes wider as if to adjust them from the sleep

Carlow at this point practically jumped on Galvin and woke him up really fast. Galvin jumped up from sleep

like he had a terrifying nightmare.

"Aaaah, what do you want!?" he yelled

"Look, go to the window!" Carlow replied


While we were all at the window, we didnt see anything but the glow. It was a green, a light green glow

coming from inside the dome. We kept hearing what sounded like a baby crying.

"Where is that coming from?" asked Carlow

The sound didnt seem to just be coming from the dome anymore, but it seemed to be all around us. The sound

of a baby crying, it was so loud it practically made our ears hurt. After a few more seconds the sound

stopped.

"Damn, that was intense!" Galvin said

"Yeah, it was pretty loud." I added

"Well...we know Sylph is up to no good." Carlow stated

Seeing the dome light up as it was and the sound of the baby, we obviously knew it was Sylph. We just

didnt really know the significance of this event.


A few hours later we were all eating breakfast, when we heard a loud pound on the door. It was Liam, and

he looked quite distressed.


"Guys...I have to tell you something very important!" he said while heaving heavily

"What is it Liam, and why were you running?" I asked

"Are your parents around?" he asked while looking around the house

"Uuh, no, they went to visit my grandmother." I replied

"Ok, good, uummmm, yeah!" he started

"Well, you gonna tell us!?" Galvin chimed

"I could have sworn my little brother talked!" he yelled

"Okay...isnt that normal?" i asked while looking confused

"No, you dont get it, hes only about five months old!" he said

"Well, was it something like goo-goo, ga-ga?" Galvin added

"No, it was like a frickin complete sentence!" he said while getting angry

"Whoa, like what!?" I asked

"He said like: 'Give me blood, I want blood'," he continued "I ran out of the house really quick after

that statement."

What he said got me thinking about my idea of changelings. They actually have to drink blood to survive

and eat flesh.

"Oh shit!"

"What Aiden!?" Carlow said

"That sounds like a changeling!" I replied

"Oh, your right!" Galvin said

"But, if it is a changeling its obviously from Sylph." Liam continued "Why would Sylph use a changeling?"

"Probably because its in my story," I said while feeling guilty

"Oh, thats what you meant about Sylph being in your room while writing your story!" Liam said

"We are in a SHIT load of trouble if anything else from my story comes to life!"

"What the hell, what else do you have in your story!?" Galvin asked while having one hand on his hip

"Trust me, its better not knowing." I answered

"Liam, take us to your house right away!" I yelled

"Sure, lets go then!"


Before i left i grabbed the coin my grandmother gave me, maybe it would give me good luck. We would

definitely need it. We all ran as fast as we could to Liams house. When we got in, we found a gruesome

discovery.


"Oh shit, what the hell is this red stuff on the floor, blood!?" Liam shouted while looking like he was

going to puke

"Yeah, it looks like it." Galvin added

The house was smeared with blood, we had to find out where the source was. When we entered the kitchen, we

knew where the blood came from.

"My dog!!" Liam yelled while starting to cry

The sight was gruesome, the dog was barely there anymore. His head seemed intact, while the bones of his

ribs were showing, and his intestines were laying out on the floor while you-know-who was chewing on them.

"My dog, my poor Licker!" Liam continued "You bastard baby, you are not Brendan!"

The baby looked up with an innocent expression on his face, as if to say he didnt know any better. But we

did, how dumb does this changeling think we are? No baby could eat, much less kill a dog.

"Speak up you dumb ass bastard!" Liam shouted while getting ready to hit it

The changeling could tell it wasnt going to get away with it, so it jumped at Liam trying to bite him

before he could hit it. Liam though, moved out of the way and it tried to bite me instead.


"Aaah, get this damn thing off of me!" I shouted frantically

"UGH, what is that iron!?"

"Whoa, it finally talked!" Galvin chimed

I looked down and saw it had only bitten the coin my grandmother gave to me. Luckily it wasnt damaged.

"Eeee, you bastards!!" changeling shouted while flailing its arms

The changeling then froze, it stopped moving.

"What happened?" Liam said while wiping away his tears

"I dont know," I said

The changeling then started to disentegrate into fine specks of what looked like dust, but fine shiny

dust, nothing i have seen before.

"Whoa, hmm, it obviously had something to do with this coin" I said while looking at it

"Now im going to be in trouble, i dont know where my real brother is." Liam said

"Hmmm, im sure Sylph has him, we have to rescue him." I continued "How long are your parents gone?"

"For about a week, they are out of town." he answered

"Great, atleast we have some time." I stated

"I have to go call Brayan and ask him about Iron." I said while i started to leave

"You guys go ahead, im going to clean up and bury my dog." he started crying again

"Eh, i will stay and help him, someone has to." Galvin continued "Someone also has to track down Sylph as

well."

"Liam, were sorry about your dog, and we will get your brother back, i promise." I continued "Were not

losing anyone else."


Back at home I started to call Brayan, while Carlow was standing right next to me.

"Hey Brayan!"

"Hey Aiden, I was just about to call you," Brayan continued "I have really good news, your going to be so

psyched!"

"Uuuh, can i ask you something first?" I asked

"Could you look up any information regarding Iron and faeries?"

"Uuuuh, ok, thats a weird question, but ok." he replied

I put Brayan on speaker phone as i started making Carlow a sandwhich.

"ok, i have something!" he said

"Yeah, what!?"

"Well, Faeries are actually weak to Iron." he continued "Its their version of kryptonite, so to speak."

"Wow, i had no idea, this could be easier than i thought." I commented

"What could be easier than you thought?" Brayan asked

"Uuuh, nothing i will tell you later." I said while getting ready to hang up

"Wait, dont you want to hear my news!?" he yelled

"Oh yeah, what is it?"

"Well, your mom called and asked if me and Ian would like to come down!" he said excited

"...Wow...that IS great news, but now is not the time." I said

"What, i thought you would be happy!" he said in grief

"Thats final Brayan, you and Ian are NOT to come, okay!?" I said sternly, then i hung up the phone


After hanging up, i felt really guilty, who talks like that to their friends? It was for their own good

though, they are safe in California. When Sylph is gone, i would love for them to come, but until then, i

have to protect my loved ones.

Lol i know you wouldn't know at this point, but the character Devin (and Virgil) is actually a cameo for a yet to be written story. I will start writing it once Faerytale is done, all i can tell you about it for now is its called "The Trespassers". By the way, if you can, check out Hell's Awakening

"Why would you talk to your friend like that!?" Carlow commented while eating his sandwhich. "I mean, you could have just explained the situation to him, even if it sounds like you have mental problems."

"I know, but thats why i dont want to tell him." I mean Brayan might believe me, but i wasnt too sure about Ian. I wasnt ready for my friends to think i was going crazy, they know how i can get sometimes with my imagination. Especially when im in the middle of writing a story.

"They are your closest friends, are they not?" I nodded, he continued while still chewing "Then you should tell them; why you said they couldnt come, it will seem like you dont like them anymore."

"Yeah, i guess you are right Carlow." I stopped to think a little bit. I should tell them, im going to tell them when i speak to him again.

"Hey son, hows it going lately?" my dad asked while walking into the kitchen and pouring himself some orange juice.

"Uh, nothing really...how is grandma doing?" I asked, putting one hand on the counter to hold myself up.

"Oh, shes doing great," he continued after taking a big gulp of juice "She wants you to visit her with us next time we go."

"Oh cool, i would love too!" I continued while looking at the coin around my neck "I would love to get more information on this too."

"Oh, could i come?" Carlow continued "I would really like to see her."

"Uh, why?" My dad asked with a puzzled look on his face while obviously not knowing what my grandmother did for him and his family.

"With all due respect Mr. Cargan, Lady Phiala feels like apart of my family too." Carlow continued while finishing his sandwhich and looking into my dads eyes "It would be rude of me not to visit her, and of you to prevent me to."

My dad had an agitated look on his face for how Carlow spoke to him, but it also seemed as if my dad understood what he was saying and only nodded his head and walked away.

I laughed "Nice going Carlow!" I continued while slapping him a high five "My dad doesnt normally let someone else have the last say of anything,"

"Well, Lady Phiala does feel like my family." he continued while looking at me while putting his hand on my shoulder "Even though i havent known you as long as her, you feel as if you are apart of my family too." He then proceeded to hug me "...Like a brother"

"Thanks Carlow...I feel that way about you too." I responded

"I lost one of my friends, im not losing anymore, especially not my brother." Carlow added

"What are you doing boys?" My mom asked while walking in with a conscerned look on her face

"Nothing, we just got done eating and talking to dad." I replied while looking somewhat nervous

"Aiden, im concerned, Brayan called practically heart broken because he said you didnt want him to come." she continued "Why dont you? You missed them before, now you dont want them to visit?"

"...Uuuh..." I started, i definitely didnt want to tell my parents about the events until today at all. I didnt know what they would think. "I want to miss them more..." I stated while looking at her and Carlow. "If i miss them more, it will mean more to me when they finally do come..."

"...That doesnt make much sense Aiden, but ok, when you're ready tell me." she said as she started to fix my messy hair. After she left i messed it up again.

I looked at Carlow and said "So they dont start wondering whether or not i like them, im going to tell them now." I proceeded to call Brayan and put him on speaker.

"Hello?"

"Hey Brayan, i have a legitimate reason as to why you and Ian cant come." I continued "Well...It's because of a problem i have."

"If it's about your grandmother i understand but-"

"No, shes fine, its not about her." I interrupted

"Well...what is it then?" Brayan asked

"I have been dealing with...an evil faery." I said in a weak manner thinking he wouldnt believe me.

"Aiden...Faerys are nothing but fables...what do you mean?" He asked while being perplexed

"Brayan, there was this kid, named Puck, who revealed himself to be a faery." I continued "He was the one who murdered the lady who screamed, the one you heard, and one of my new friends!"

"Aiden, if you dont want us over, just say so, but dont make up lies!" then he hung up on me.

I slowly hung up the phone, i was thinking my friends back home would never like me again. Was our friendship over? Would we ever speak again? If we do, how long will i have to wait until they believe me!? "Dammit, Why wont he believe me!" I shouted while hitting my fist on the table.

"Thats ok Aiden, he'll come around, im sure." Carlow stated

"Your right, I'll just give him sometime." I continued while moving my hand through my hair "Lets go see how Liam and Galvin are doing."

On the way there we saw what looked like a faint glow coming from the dome of trees. It didnt seem like much, it seemed so faint that it could have been a little light trapped in the dome from the low lying sun. But it started to grow brighter, we then started to hear what sounded like a low growl.
"Damn, not again!" I yelled while me and Carlow started to pick up the pace to get to Liams house.

"Yeah, i dont want to see whats going to come out of there!" Carlow shouted

We made it to Liams house and started banging on the door.

"Yeah, hey guys!" Liam said

We rushed in and slammed the door shut while still trying to catch our breath.

"Whoa, whats wrong guys, what happened?" Liam asked while he started to get a scared look on his face

"We saw the dome glowing again, and we heard a different sound, a different one compared to the baby." Carlow said

"Shit, im really getting tired of this, we have to stop him!" Liam shouted

"You alright now Liam?" I continued "How is the cleaning coming?" while i started to look around the house.

"Its done, and we already buried my dog." He continued "Why are you not worrying over what you just saw?"

"...Because im actually getting really scared now, i could only wonder what that growl was." I continue "The changeling was the least compared to the rest." I stated while looking distressed

"Aiden, calm down, you can just use iron right?" Galvin said as he started to walk in.

"Yeah, i guess i could, but im not sure if it will be that easy." I said

"What do you mean it wont be that easy Aiden?" Liam asked

"Well, i made a lot of the creatures with unique powers or abilities." I continued "It wont be that easy to catch them, especially the fire phlys." I said under my breath

"What, did you just say fire phlys? What are fire phlys!?" Galvin asked nervously

"Well...they are-" I was interrupted by a sound at the door. It sounded as if someone was unlocking it.

"What is that noise?" Carlow asked while looking intently at the door.

We saw the door open very slowly, what we saw coming through the door scared the crap out of us.

"What the hell are you!?" Liam demanded while pointing at it

"It's a fable...It's a damn fable!" I shouted while almost panicking

"Please, he looks weak, and old." Liam stated

"Liam, dont go near it, its dangerous, if he gets you-" I started

"Aiden...stand back, i'll handle him." he commanded

Liam then started walking toward the fable confidently. The fable slowly walked toward Liam, with evil intent in his eyes, a murderous ambition. He was definitely ready to gut him alive, but Liam doesnt know that.

"Liam, dont do this, he can kill you!" I yelled while motioning him to run

"Aiden, i told you, be quiet and stand back!" He shouted

While Liam was distracted the fable tried to strike Liams torso, but the strike was evaded. "Whoa, what a cheap strike." he commented. The fable started to wildly slash at Liam, but he was able to dodge every single hit, it was like trying to strike at a mirage. Liam then launched a strike of his own, and punched the fable in the face. The fable recoiled and regained his balance, then tried to strike once more at his torso, with the purpose of finally putting an end to him. Liam successfully avoided that one as well. At which point, Liam tripped him with his leg. The creature was on his back for a while trying to get up.

"......Wow, can you believe hes doing this!?" Galvin asked while in awe, we were all in awe.

"...No, wow." Is all i could say

The fable finally got up, and Liam did one final hit. He performed a spin kick to the fables head, and it looked like it was finally down for good.

"Things not so tough...what are you guys staring at?" Liam asked

"How did you do that!?" I continued "You looked like Zilis out there!"

"Hm...eight years of martial arts will make you able to do things like that." He stated simply "Whos Zilis!?"

"Hm, i'll tell you later." I laughed "At my 'initiation' you said you werent good at wrestling; you are definitely good at that."

"You think its dead?" Carlow asked

We all started looking at it, its deep gray complexion, small mouth the size of a donut hole, and its long skinny arms with the sharp nails.

"Hmm, mabe you should use your necklace thing on it and kill it for good." Liam suggested

"I guess i could," I said as i started looking at it "But do you have something else made of iron?" i asked

"Hmm, yeah, this metal poker thing for the fireplace." Liam said while picking it up and looking at it while twisting it in the air.

"Okay, cool, let me see." As i took it from Liam, i looked at the fable, the creature i had created with my own mind. I started walking towards it. In a way, i loved my creations, even though i wasnt the one to bring them to life. As a writer, i grew to love the characters in my story, good or bad. It felt weird having pity on something as evil as a fable, but i did. "Im sorry..." I said under my breath as i raised the poker and stabbed it through the fable.
It let out a horrifying yell, so loud it made me let go of the poker and cover my ears. We were all covering our ears because it felt they were going to explode if we didnt. The fable started to disentagrate bit by bit, and every spec of dust was lifted into the air. It looked as if the dust was forming a tornado and there was a small cloud above it. After the whole body turned to dust the screaming stopped. The poker fell to the floor, the dust followed shortly thereafter. We were speechless.

"....ok, that was a bit different than the changeling." Galvin stated while pointing at the dust on the floor.

"Yeah, I just hope everything else will be this easy." I said

"Well...it was nothing but a fable." Liam continued "Sylph doesnt know who he is messing with, i will get my brother back!"

Chapter 10: 'The Devil' Returns, will be added asap

Back again with a new chapter, its filler again (Yay!). I hope you guys like it (A-L, Johnbad), it may have less descriptions than the last chapter. Anyway, read on.




I dont know what Liam was thinking fighting that fable hand to hand like that. While he did beat it, hes not going to be so lucky with something more dangerous. I think we are doing a pretty good job so far though, i mean, how many innocent people have we potentially saved? Then again, when i think about it, nothing matters unless we find Sylph.


"Hey, Aiden, whatcha thinking about?" Carlow asked while putting his hand on my shoulder

"Uh, oh, nothing really." I continued "Im just stumped how we are going to get Sylph."

"Hmmm, yeah...that is a problem." Carlow said while putting his hand on his chin

"I mean, ever since he's revealed himself, he has never been seen." I added

"Hey, boys, are you ready to go?" My mom asked while putting on her coat

"Yeah, were ready." I said while getting both me and Carlow's jacket off of the hooks on the wall


We were going to the hospital to visit my grandmother. Im happy to visit, because i have never spoken to her for a long time. I guess it's only been a couple of days, but i got used to being around her. While riding in the car to the hospital my mother started small talk with Carlow.

"So, Carlow, how long have you known my mother?" She asked while looking into the rear view mirror

"Uuh, maybe about five years, she has always been a mentor for me in a way." He replied while looking out the window

"Really, wow, i had no idea." She continued "So, i guess your a part of our family then huh?" while smiling through the mirror at him

"Wow, i appreciate your generosity Mrs. Cargan." He continues "But if i may ask, out of curiosity, why do you say that?"

"Well, i heard you and Aiden talking in the kitchen earlier, about being brothers." She continued "It was so cute!"


We both started blushing; that was so humiliating. Not only did she hear our conversation, but she said it was cute! I could see the embarrassment on Carlow's face and i could feel my own. Our talk was completely innocent but, still, its quite disturbing for my mom to say that. I guess she could see we were embarrassed, because she quikly followed up.


"Of course also knowing your history with my mother, it makes all the more solid." She continued "Im curious about your last name though Carlow."

"It's Lorcan," He said simply while still slumped in his seat

"Aah, were here!" My mom said while getting out of the car


While we were walking up to it, it seemed pretty huge. It was a pearl white, very bright indeed. It seemed as if they painted it somewhat often to keep its fine color. We came up to my grandmothers room and saw her lying in bed. She looked totally fine, serene even, as if she never had heart disease. She woke up as we were coming in and motioned for us to come closer.

"Hello Catherine, Aiden, and Carlow." She continued while hugging each of us "Especially you Carlow, i

didnt expect to see you, im glad you came."

"I wouldnt want anything else but to visit you Lady Phiala," He said while showing a slight smile

"Oh, what did i say about that Carlow?" She continued while looking somewhat serious "You dont have to call me 'lady' all the time, if at all."

"Im very sorry Phiala" Carlow responded while blushing

"Thats alright, you may as well call me grandma too." She continued "Especially since only your sister is looking after you."


At this point, i looked at Carlow surprised. What does my grandma mean his sister? Who was that woman i saw at his door when i went to visit him after Brogan died?


"Hmmm, you didnt tell Aiden yet Carlow?" My grandma asked

"...No, i may as well now." he replied

He started walking into the hall way a bit before he stopped and faced me. He then faced the vending machine and put some quarters in to get some chips out of it.

"What are you going to tell me?" I asked

"Well, i lied to you when we met about my mom." he continued "My mom died when i was around 6 years old, ever since then my sister has been taking care of me, and Phiala...I mean grandma."

"Why did you want to keep it from me?" I asked

"I dont really know, i didnt want to put myself out there too much." he continued while eating potato chips "I didnt know you at all...your not mad, are you?" he finished while putting the chips away

"Of course not, its understandable i guess." I continued "I cant be that mad at you at all."


When we were just getting ready to get back to my grandmothers room, we heard her scream. We began to run to the room she was in as quickly as we could. Neither of us were going to let anything happen to her.

When we came in the room, she was sitting all the way up in her bed. Her eyes looked like she saw death itself.

"Boys, did that...Puck lad come with you?"

We both looked at each other, hearing that name made my heart skip a beat.

"No, we havent seen him for days." I replied while still looking at Carlow

"He was just in here, he asked if i knew where you were." She continued "After he asked, he walked next to my bed and suddenly disappeared."

"Where is he!?" Carlow yelled while starting to look everywhere, even under the bed.

"Dont bother, i dont think he is a kid anyway." She continued "You be careful of him Aiden, he is clearly not of this world."

"Oh, im aware of that grandma....Wheres mom?" I asked while looking around

"Oh, she went to get some water, he appeared almost right after she left."


I cant believe Sylph showed his ugly face around here, and near my grandmother. Me and Carlow have to find him, what if hes planning on hurting her after we leave? I couldnt stand the thought.


"Come on boys, its time to leave." My mom said while coming in the room sipping water

"No, we have to stay with grandma, we have to!" I yelled frantically while my mom was trying to pull me out of the room.

"Visiting hours are over Aiden, we have to leave!" My mom stated

"But if we dont-"

I was interrupted by my grandmother exposing what appeared to be an iron coin just like mine. It was almost as if she knew Puck was a faery and was telling me she would be alright.

"Ok, we can go." I said calmly while exiting my grandmothers room


"Gosh, what is up with you Aiden!?" My mom continued scolding "Putting up a tantrum like that in a hospital!"

"Im sorry mom, i dont know, it was kind of spontaneous." I replied while looking at Carlow, knowing he knew why i acted as i did.


None of us said another word for the whole trip home, none of us knew what to say. Me and Carlow were too busy thinking on Sylph and what he was doing at the hospital. My mom was thinking on why i acted as i did, or nothing at all, who knows. "Im going to go get some rest now," My mom said as she made her way inside the house. Me and Carlow just sat outside talking about how we may see Sylph pretty soon.

"Well, it seems Sylph is still using his 'Puck' form to decieve." I remarked while throwing rocks in the yard

"Yeah, it seems he is...how come another creature hasnt came to life yet?" Carlow asked

"I have no idea, and i dont care, its better off if they dont." I continued "I would just rather deal with-"

"Sylph!?"

"Devin!?" I said as i stood up and ran to him

"Where have you been man!?" I continued "We have needed your help the past couple of days!"

He laughed "Sorry kid, But i came with some good news, hopefully." He continued "Which of you guys opened the seal to let Sylph free?"

"It was me, it was an accident though!" Carlow replied while averting Devin's eyes

He laughed again "Its okay, its okay." He continued "But Sylph is definitely going to be after you, because whoever opened his seal will be the one paying the ultimate price."

"How is that good news!?" I retorted while grinding my teeth

"Whoa, calm down, he cant kill him the way he did to your friend." He continued "He has to perform a ceremony to become one with him, that way he can become fully physical and do harm to practically everyone."

"That doesnt make any sense, he killed that woman after killing Brogan." Carlow responded while scratching his head

"Well, actually, that woman was there the time Sylph was freed." He continued "She saw everything from farther away then you two did, but it still counted."

"Ok then, what about you?" I asked while putting my hands on my hips

"What about me!?"

"How is it that you can see Sylph? How is it that you know all these things? Whats your real name? And where exactly do you live around here?" I queried

"Hmm, ok, i guess i'll answer those." He continued "I can see Sylph, but he cant see me. Thats all i can say for that question" He continued while sitting down. I know all of these things because i reseached it, thats all you need to know, where i got it doesnt matter."

"My full name is Devin Duke, but i guess you could just call me 'Devil'" He finished while crossing his arms

"Why would i want to call you a devil?" I asked

"Its a nickname, anyway, i better get going." He said while standing up and dusting himself off

"Why do you need to go so soon?" Carlow asked

"Well, my gangs waiting for me, so i will be on my way." He continued while walking away "By the way, im from California, see ya!"


Me and Carlow both looked at each other in amazement. How is he from California? Maybe he came here by plane? Yeah, thats probably what he did. Well anyway, we have a lot more to go on in finally getting to Sylph. I feel we are close now, not nearly as far as we were. We havent run into any more creatures after the fable, maybe it finally is done. We just have to worry about Sylph.


Chapter 11: Missing Brother, i will get done with it soon!

it's a pretty good chapter. All I see that's wrong is some grammer and structure. you need to make sure you put a ' when compounding words (Such as i'm and can't). Also make sure you capitalize all your "I" when using it for first person. The last thing I saw was you said "I yelled while me and Carlow started..." In proper english this should say "I yelled while Carlow and I started...". but i liked the chapter. keep it up and I hope I helped.

Its been awhile since i posted my last chapter. I'm sorry for the long absence for those who want to read my story (A-L, Johnbad).

I appreciate everyone who's commented so far, and look forward to more. This chapter may be one of the shortest, but its a two parter. Expect the second part to be posted later today. I feel it is way better than chapter 10 (I know you didn't like that chapter A-L lol). Anyway, you will also continue to find the "i" mistakes.

Dont worry, i do plan to fix them on my final proof read. Anyway enjoy chapter 11!




"Aaaah" I yawned as I got up from my nap. It was the afternoon again, and still, no closer to getting everything back to normal. I couldnt help but feel tremendous guilt for what has happened, even though it was no ones fault that Sylph got out. Ever since these "events" started taking place, it feels as if i have a five hundred pound anvil on top of my chest. Im always deep in thought, more so than i used to be. I just cant wait to actually enjoy my time here...then again, will i ever be able to? Even if we do somehow make Sylph go away, will i ever be happy after that? Brogan has died from him, if i didnt leave him alone with Sylph, he may still be-


"Aiden, can you take out the garbage?" My mom requested

"Yeah sure..." i replied while sitting on my chair with my back facing her

"Whats wrong honey?" she asked while putting some clothes she washed on my bed "You dont look well"

"Im fine mom, i may be coming down with something." I lied as i got up from my chair and sat on my bed.

Its not too often that my parents see me like this, im usually always cheerful and full of energy. Its almost as if i suddenly had to grow up, because if i hadnt, i dont know if i could have taken everything the way i have been. I was surprising even myself with how calm and collected i have been. I think its taking a toll on me now though, i am now worried about practically everything. The safety of my friends: Liam, Galvin, Carlow...even Ian and Brayan. I dont know how far this could extend.

"Honey, you look as if you have a lot on your mind." she continued while sitting down with me "Are you sure theres nothing at all wrong with you?"

"Yeah...yeah, i'll be fine." I replied while taking a deep breath

"Well, if you need to tell me anything, i'll be right here." she responded as she kissed my forehead


As i was taking out the garbage, the outside seems more quiet than usual. I mean, whenever something would happen its never loud, but i just "feel" as if its quieter. I may actually enjoy this day. How could i think that though? Terrible things have happened, and im here thinking about my happiness, "I'm doing nothing but thinking about myself!" I thought outloud while punching the garbage bin.

"Whatcha doing Aiden?" Galvin asked while walking up to me and waving

"Oh, hey Galvin, nothing much...just taking out the garbage." I said with a slight smirk while obviously looking as if i had something wrong.

"...Is Carlow around?" he asked

"No...Why do you ask?" I continued as i put the garbage in the bin "Isnt he at his house?"

"No, i just went by there, his sister said he wasnt home" Galvin started pacing back and forth " She said he was over here"

"Where do you think he is?" I asked while being a bit more attentive

"How should i know, if i knew i wouldnt have to guess." he replied

"Well, i have to go back inside, i have things to do." I continued while i started walking back to the house "I will tell you whenever i see him"


As i was walking into the house, the smell of food filled the air. I was really hungry, but i wasn't at the same time. I wanted to eat, but the pain and burden i feel over this is getting to be a bit too much. I have lost my appetite to eat.

"Aiden, ready for dinner?" My dad asked while hitting me on the back, he then started to take a seat at the dinner table.

"Naw, im not hungry, i think that sickness is getting to me." I replied while rubbing my back

"Aaw, my poor baby is sick." My mom said as she came out of the kitchen and was checking my temperature

"I'll be fine mom, just leave me alone!" I yelled as i went to my room and slammed the door.


I then collapsed on my bed and started thinking. What made me talk to her like that? I felt even more guilty already. "I wonder if theres a such thing as dying from guilt, because it sure feels like im going to." I said outloud to myself. For the first time in my life i felt hopeless, weak, i felt like a coward as well. I'm not sure as to why either, but i do.


"Aiden, come here."


I got up from my bed startled "Who's there?" I continued after a pause "Mom...dad?" I started looking around for any signs of someone around me. I went into the kitchen to find my parents, they werent there, only the casserole my mom made. It had mold in it and was swarming with maggots. "Ugh, what the hell!" I said while pinching my nose.

"Aiden, come, you want to play?"

"Alright, whoever is out there, you better show yourself now!" I yelled while looking around

"Aiden, its me..."

I saw someone come out of the blackness from the hallway. They came slowly at first, but started speeding up. I saw it was Carlow! He had a decomposed face with one eye missing. His lips and eye lids were gone as well. "Carlow, what happened to you!?" I cried.

"Aiden, help me, help me Aiden." He continued saying that while holding out his arm as if to grab my hand.

"Aiden...you have to help me"

"Carlow...i dont know how, help you with what?" I asked while on my knees

"Faeries"

Once he said "faeries" he just fell apart. It was almost as if he was shot with some kind of ray gun and all that was left were bones.

"Carlow!!" I shouted as i ran to him crying.


"Aiden, Aiden!"

"What, what!?" I yelled as i woke up from my bed

"Aiden, you looked as if you were having a nightmare." My mom remarked


A nightmare...i have never been so happy hearing those words. I wouldn't know what to do with myself if that really happened. I would probably just die.

"Yeah, sorry mom." I said as i looked down

"Sorry about what?"

"Im sorry for how i acted, it wasn't like me at all to act that way." I replied

"Oh thats ok, i figured it was just your sickness." she said with a smile. "Well anyway, whenever your ready come and eat, you have to sometime."

"Ok, thanks mom."


As she closed my door i collapsed again on my bed. I'm glad that was a nightmare, but Carlow was missing earlier. Could this dream mean something? I was too scared of the possibilities something could happen to him. I decided i would forget about it until the morning, thats when me, Liam, and Galvin will search for him. I pray to God hes alright...

I'm very sorry it took me so long with this chapter and i said i would get it done by later today. For some its already early in the morning. Anyway, as you will figure out by the end of this next chapter, Faerytale is coming to a close. I say it a lot, but thank you for all of the comments A-L. You too Johnbad. For thanks I will be sure the ending will be good.





"Another day, others pray." I said to myself as i got up in the morning while rubbing my eyes. Today was the day Me and the guys were going to look for Carlow. The dream I had earlier was just a dream right? I didn't know what to make of it, and frankly i hated thinking about it.

I got up from my bed and got ready for the day ahead. I went into the kitchen and finally decided to eat something. I had some cereal and drunk a glass of orange juice. As I was drinking I heard the cellphone ring. "Hello?" i said as i continued drinking.


"Hey Aiden, I'm sorry about the other day."

"Oh, hey Brayan, it's no problem, I kind of deserved you being angry at me anyway." I said as i put my glass down on the table

"I must be crazy, but i believe you Aiden, i believe everything you said to me." Brayan said as he started to get quiet

"Thats great, but why are you whispering?" I asked

"Because Ian is with me, i dont want him to hear." he replied

"Cool, let me speak with him!" I said with enthusiasm. I was so happy in hearing Ian was with him. I havent spoken to Ian since i left. I miss his confident attitude, he was always trying to be the tough guy.

"Aiden, hey dude, how ya been?" Ian said

"Oh good, how have you been Ian?" I asked as i started pacing around the kitchen "I really do miss you guys."

"I know, we do too, and we are concerned about you over there." he stated

"You are?" I continue as i sat down "About what?"

"The elf thing, Brayan isn't exactly the type to whisper low enough so that i don't hear anything." he stated as he laughed. "Not to mention, for the past couple of days all he has been saying was: 'What would you do if a faery killed Aiden?'"

"He has been asking that?" I asked

"Yeah, i researched on the internet and found that there is weird shit happening in Ireland."

"I'll say..." I continue "You would have to see it to believe it."

As i was talking to Ian i heard a knock on the door. I slowly looked over to the door and opened it. It was Galvin, and he seemed pretty desperate about something.

"Aiden, come on, its time to search for Carlow!" Galvin said as he was catching his breath

"Uh, ok, Ian, i will have to talk to you later, i have to find Carlow." I said as i got ready to hang up.

"Who's Carlow?" He asked

"Hes my...hes my brother," I continue "I will tell you all about it later."


Me, Galvin, and Liam went looking for Carlow. I felt bad, Liam lost his kid brother, and were looking for Carlow first. Even though Liam's brother was gone for a longer period of time. But Carlow is my friend as he is Liam's. This meant a lot to him to find both; it does for me too.

"Where do you think he is Aiden?" Galvin asked

"I don't know, where could we even begin to look?" I asked while scratching my head

"Who are we kidding?" Liam continued while collapsing on the ground "He would never go anywhere for this long without telling one of us."

"Yeah, i guess you are right Liam." Galvin followed and collapsed on the ground as well

"What are you doing guys!?" I continue while yelling "We have a friend who is out there somewhere who most likely needs our help, and all your going to do is sit here!?" I was angry, i felt just as hopeless as them, but what CAN we do? Carlow is missing and so is Liam's brother, we cant just give up. "Liam, your going to be in huge trouble since you were supposed to be watching your little brother and hes gone."

"You are right about that, i would rather not live than face the wrath of my parents." he responded

"SYLPH, WHERE ARE YOU, YOU FUCKING COWARD!!" I shouted flailing my arms


I don't know what got me into screaming that loud, or what made me say it at all. I just know that i was pissed off, and he was going to pay when i saw him. From the moment we laid eyes on Puck in his true form he vanished. He has never really shown his ugly face. When i looked at Galvin and Liam their faces looked contorted in a surprised way. They looked at me as if to say "Wow, i didn't know Aiden cursed". But obviously i don't normally.


"Aiden, look!" Galvin said while pointing to the dome of trees

We all turned to look at the dome. It had another light coming from it. The light looked violet in color, there was also an odor. The odor stunk like rotting flesh, but also smelled of roses at the same time. We decided to take a closer look instinctively. We peered inside a little to find the light was coming from that well Sylph came out of, the one with the pentagram on top. We saw something stick its hand out of the well. It had claws, it definitely wasn't human. It came all the way out of the well and stared at us. It was a fire phly, no mistaking it.

It had the steel-like wings, the protruding jaw, and the long slender oily tongue that it ignited while around your flesh. It let out a huge scream, and almost instantly the violet colored light engulfed him and the well. We started running a little but stopped to see what was happening. The light was now covering the whole dome of trees.

"Wow, Aiden, Liam, it was nice knowing you." Galvin said as he fell to the ground in fear

"Whoa, look over there!" Liam pointed

He pointed to a huge group of people walking over to this light. They were all talking amongst themselves saying things like: "Is this the end!?". We were all surprised that other people were able to see it. Usually the incidents were isolated, but it doesn't seem to be anymore.

"Look, its channel 10 news!" Galvin shouted as he saw the van pull up

There were hundreds of people around the area looking upon the light as if it was a fireworks show. Some people were even pulling out beach towels and picnic blankets to enjoy the show. They are ignorant of their impending doom, this is not a good thing they can see this.

"These people have to get out of here!" I yelled

"What did you say Aiden!?" Liam yelled back "I cant hear you too well because its too noisy,"

"These people are in danger!" I continued yelling at the people around me "You have to leave, its not a good thing you are around here!" But no one would listen.

"Aaw, shit, look Aiden!" Galvin yelled pointing at the dome


The light from the dome was getting brighter and a lot bigger. The dome of trees morphed into what looked like a castle. But not just any old castle, the one from my story...the Lament. It couldn't be, he can make even buildings come out of my stories!? I had anticipation to go inside. I was definitely worried, but at the same time its not everyday that a person can explore what he wrote about. The violet colored light that formed the majestic yet eerie looking castle formed what looked like a barrier.

The castle has a very intricate design. It had purple gems all over it. Statues of gargoyles and demons of every size all over it. It almost seemed as if it was living, because certain parts of it moved as if it was breathing. Even the statues looked as if they were breathing. A ton of people were actually trying to get in. But the violet light that looked as if a transparent ribbon was wrapped around the castle prevented entry. The castle is huge, many times bigger than the dome of trees. If there wasn't so much space in this area it would for sure destroyed many homes.

I decided i wanted to go closer and examine it. I wanted to touch the creation from my own mind. As i touched it my fingers started going through the violet barrier. I was amazed, why couldn't anyone else get in and it seems i can?

"Aiden, you thinking what I'm thinking?" Liam asked with a smirk

"What are you guys thinking?" Galvin asked

"You know Liam, i think i do" I continue as i look up at the giant structure that seemed to reach up to the moon "Come on guys, were going to save Carlow, and Liam's brother. Were also going to put a stop to Sylph for good!"

I forgot to mention, after Faerytale is done i am going to proof read the entire thing and edit a whole lot. I am going to fix every mistake anyone has mentioned, I'm also going to improve the dialog of chapters 1-5.

After I'm done revising it, i will post the whole story here for all to see. Because i know some people avoided reading my story because how it looked.

After I'm done posting Faerytale one last time, i am going to start working on another story.
