Psycho Bait -Serial Thriller

Loyal Town, West Virginia! A great spot to be sent on business. No major corporations for miles around and little visible police presence, just perfect! I’m pretty much used to it now. I end up working in so many creepy little places like this. My boss is unrelenting and she actually likes the folksy folks that live in places like this. I have not had a break from this job in three long years. I am pretty much on a non stop tour through the industrial wastelands and dilapidated post war cities of the United States of America.
I pull my rental car up to the “hotel lobby” and put my blinkers on. In the back of the car there is a shifting from the little kitty carrier. “Be right back Miss” I whisper in a nervous voice. I will not be long in registration; I leave my sunglasses on and try to shrink into my jacket. I don’t want anyone to get a good look at me. If I have my way no one will remember seeing me here. In a moment I have my klunky key on the plastic tab, and I am on my way. As I get back in the car I get a good look at the other vehicles in the parking lot. The lot is full of flat beds and SUV’s, mostly males. We will do a good amount of business here.
Pulling up to the room I look like a regular business traveler. My “briefcase”, my rolling bag, my hand bag, and the kitty traveler. I hastily load them all in through the door of the room and lock it tight behind me. Miss will not stand to be bound one second longer than necessary. I open her carrier and place her gently on the pillows in the bed. She does not like riding in the carrier, it puts her out of sorts. It is my preference to be in a Motel for a couple of reasons. No one has asked to see, pet, or talk to Miss. She does not like it and, I worry that someone may look her in the eyes. I also like the fact that the bar is closely within walking distance. That is where I do the majority of my work.
After making sure Miss is comfortable and checking out the TV stations it is time for me to prepare for work. I clean the particle board desk off with one of the three tissues in the locked down box. I open up my “briefcase” and get ready for work. While I was driving around the area I got the lay of the land, I think I know what sells here. This town prefers Maryanne to Ginger. Out of the case I took my long blonde hair and big blue eyes. Soon Kay Kincaid was ready to go to work. I took a long look at myself in the dusty wall mirror and looked behind me to Miss. “Get me something delicious” she hisses. “Yes Mistress” I replied, grabbed the key on the tab and then left the room.
