The world of Destiny is in danger. The evil race of the Cloran are attacking countries one by one and killing thousands. However when Mariah, the girl spoken of in an ancient prophecy, is brought to Destiny and hope is restored. But Mariah has a hard journey to undertake and many difficult decisions to make. She is the only one who can save Destiny but peace still comes at a high price.
Dear Reader,
By the time you are reading this Earth could be a very different place to how I have known it. Perhaps you have found a way of saving starving children in Africa; perhaps you no longer pollute your planet so that you can feed greed; perhaps you have finally entered a time where there is no fighting. I doubt you have done much of this and I would imagine Earth is very much the same as ever. I doubt also you will ever put your world right or get close to it.
People are greedy. They think first only of themselves and what affects them. Though sometimes they may be seen to be doing something for someone else, they are only really doing it to help themselves in one way or another. Until people realise this and change I doubt starving children will be fed, the planet will be pure or fighting will be in the past.
I have learnt also about people that they are very narrow minded, they believe whatever reasonable answer they get to a problem, excepting it as the only possible answer and never thinking there could be something else, something more than the lies we may all be living by. For this reason you are likely not to change and neither will your planet.
Occasionally however one may come across a person who is neither greedy nor narrow minded. This is a rare phenomenon though it does happen. Often these people are seen as an individual, an outcast, sometimes this is in a good way and sometimes it isn’t. There is a lot more to people like this than first meets the eyes. It is likely they have answers to the world’s problems but never voice them, being led to think they are stupid, insane even for suggesting something away from the ‘truth’.
I am about to tell you a story that many will not believe. I do not expect you to as this is a story of magic, of another world, of another life altogether. The science and the beliefs you live by do not exist in the world I will tell you of. This world I doubt any of you will ever see because it goes against everything you believe in, everything you live by. I will tell you this story anyway, merely because the people in this story deserve nothing less than for their names and their deeds to be remembered throughout all of time, because some people are not greedy or narrow minded, some people are different,
