Unhappy What next?

OK, I'm not sure if this is the right spot for this.
I've just finished the first draft of a book aimed at the YA market but I'm unsure what tod o next. Some people suggest putting it away for upto three months, others say start revising. I,m already 6,000 words into the sequel and at the moment I just can't seem to stop writing. HELP!!

If you are already on the sequel, I'd say work on the sequel. In a sense, you are already putting the project on hold becuase you're working on something else. However, I can't emphasize enough the heartbeak you might experience if you change a major plot point or kill a character in book 1 in a future revision. At the same time, if you're in the writing groove and you've got the story still inyour head.. then you should keep writing.
No matter what, we always kill our darlings in revision.

Oh, yeah, try posting a chapter or two here as well. I'd like to see it.

Cheers,
Kay
