Dreams
Well, this is actually based on a true story. My life. :] This is more of a "Getting something off my chest" thing than a story.

For the past few weeks, I think i've been going mad. Insomnia? Somewhat. My brain tells my body that i'm sleeping, yet whenever I wake up, it feels as if my eyelids were held open during the night.
Some say dreams last for under a millisecond, hence the reason you can't remember them. Others say your mind is more vast than any science could comprehend. What do I think? I don't think about it at all. My mind is the one place where I can retreat to, the one place nobody can get to me. Yet now, it's more like it was the one place I could retreat to. Now it's the one thing i'm trying to get away from.
My dreams are filled with pain, blood curtling screams seeming to last a lifetime without a sense of mercy on your brain. I see bodies burning in piles by the thousands. Deceased relatives, friends, family whispering nothings in my ears as flames pound the wind, creating a burning immolation of dread in the scent of the air.
I think feel that something bad is going to happen. And happen soon. Perhaps my dreams are just nightmares of some sort. Perhaps they're a warning; a "sixth sense" you might call it. Ever wonder how animals know a storm is coming? Perhaps it's something like this. Or, perhaps i'm going mad.
Either way, I just want it all to stop.

Interesting--the cause is most likely that you worry about your family, so you have dreams dealing with them. Even if you don't, dreams are usually nothing more than dreams. My dreams usually have plotlines associated with them; by that I mean that I sometimes have one that could easily be a short story. Although somewhat disturbing, I doubt you will ever see piles of burning bodies in your life, unless you search for it.

Could be. :]
It's amazing what you can do to describe some bad dreams to make them come to life.

Hehe. Well, I didn't say what I originally wanted to say, as I was afraid to scare anyone. The truth of the matter is, I've seen piles of burning bodies in videos, and if I had to see it in real life, I think even I would have to take a moment to puke on my shoes. Pretty sure it would be the smell that would send me over the edge.
