Chapter Four: The Phone Call
“Shit,” was all Isaac could say as he propped himself up on his elbows. His groin still throbbed from the low blow by Trevor.
“Hey!” he turned to see the raffle girl running to him in a “Chariots of Fire,” like fashion, holding the bunny in her left hand and an ice pack in her right. “What happened?”
He squinted to see her better. When she reached him, her face was illuminated beautifully in the light.
“Got into quite a predicament with Trevor Dylan,” he said. She handed him the ice pack, and red-faced, he applied it to his private parts.
“Did they leave?”
“Well…Katharine certainly didn’t care about how much pain I was in,”
“Ah…forget em’,” She smiled.
“It’s harder than it looks…I promised her mom that I’d bring her home,”
The raffle girl helped him to his feet.
“Well, you can’t control her actions. Although, it does seem like you have a little crush on her…,”
“Nah. We’re only friends,” he turned and looked at her, “trust me,”
“Yeah, says the guy that hasn’t even asked my name…,”
He was speechless. She walked past him then turned around.
“But hey, I gotta go. See you sometime!” she turned to walk again.
Isaac finally got up the will to speak, “Wait! Raffle girl,”
She turned and smiled. “Call me Sasha! Oh yeah, and my number his on one of your tickets!”
Wow, Isaac thought. As he walked back to his mustang, he pulled out the tickets and looked on the back of each one. Nothing. Then, he noticed that one each ticket, the first three numbers were the same. They were all phone numbers!
He figured that it would be best not to call right away. Hopping into his car, Isaac decided to drive by Trevor’s house. He was amazed when he got there. It was truly a spacious house. Two stories, a pool, and many rooms. During his drive-by, he saw Katharine and Trevor playing Guitar Hero in the living room. Least they’re not kissing, he thought as he drove home.
“How was it?” his mother asked when he walked in.
“Great!” he said, faking a smile. “But…uh…I’m going to go to my room,” before she could say anything, he sped off.
When he got into his bedroom, he locked the door behind him and pulled out his cell phone. After two calls that weren’t answered, and one to a very angry Italian Butcher, he heard Sasha’s voice.
“Hey it’s Sasha-,”
“Hey Sasha, it’s-,”
“I’m not here right now, so if you give me your name and a number, I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
Isaac was glad that no one could here the conversation. When he heard the beep, he spoke, “Hey Sasha, this Is Isaac…just wanted to see if you wanted to hang out tomorrow. Uh…call me back, my number is 819-263-3223,” he hung up and wiped beads of sweat of his brow.
Laying back he sighed…what a day. Exhausted, he fell into a deep sleep.
As he slept, he dreamt. For some reason, he was falling. Immediately he saw the ground before him. Trying to brace himself, he hit rock bottom. As he stood, he looked around. Everything was dark, except for two bright balls of light. He stepped towards one. It transformed into a faint picture of Katharine. Isaac reached up and caressed her grey face. She didn’t react, but just walked away. He turned to the other. It turned into a picture of him, which just shook it’s head and walked away. Isaac called for it to stop. It did, and turned raising a gun up. Isaac through his hands up, but the imitation shot anyway. Instead of the sound of a gunshot, however, he heard a ringing.
Jolting forward, Isaac woke in a sweat. The ringing continued. As he looked to his phone, he expected to see Sasha’s number, but he saw Katharine’s instead.
“Hello?” he said, picking it up.
“Isaac…,” was all he heard. The other end of the phone hung up.
“KATHERINE!” he yelled. Shutting his phone, he looked at the time. It was two in the morning. He had slept for five hours. Gathering his keys, he left his room. Seeing his mom fallen asleep on the couch, Isaac snuck past her to get out the front door.
“Where are you going?” he turned to see her facing him.
“Out…Katharine is in trouble,”
“Isaac-,” she began to tell him to stay, but he interrupted her.
“It’s important. Sorry!” he hurried out to his car and hopped in. Quickly, he pulled out of the driveway. “Have to save her,”
kind short, but next chap. will be a blockbuster.

Oh my POST more!
It's funny because like, every one I read is exatly like this, fanfics and what not, with the whole guy loves girl, but guy can't have girl, and then girl breaks up with boyfriend, guy gets girl lmao. I'm not saying that's how it's is going to be, but it is really good, I love it.

You are really tempting be to give a lot away about year one...., but I won't and I will just say that Isaac's dream plays a BIG part through the rest of the year.

It sounds very promising and I am looking forward to the next chapter. Even though I'm not a teen anymore, I still like the story. It has something that just... grabs your attention for some reason.

good. like i;ve said before, it isn't written the best (it's no red badge of courage), but my goal is to create a story where the reader can relate to the character, and will have thoughts on what the character's decisions are.
Next chapter will be up tomorrow. No doubt.

alright guys, I am about to go to bed (do my best thinking when I am sleeping). One thing that really got me in an angsty mood though was that I just watched the series finale of the OC (my fav. show) and actually cried. Thus, I thought like a dramatic writer. I will do my best to post the next chapter around mid afternoon (for me) tomorrow, depending on what I have to do in the morning.
Thanks for the support.

I have only read the first chapter so far, but I think you need to stop it being so 'And then this happened...then this...' I would for example, cut out so much about the cereal. Unless the cereal is very significant, we don't really need to hear about him pouring milk, resting the bowl on the counter. A lot of it the reader could figure out for themselves. If you did this, it might be a bit more snappy, necessary for this kind of story.

Chapter Five: The Accident
Rain pelted Isaac’s mustang as he drove to Trevor’s house. All he could hope was that Katherine was able to fight him off. Turning the corner, he saw a shadowy figure on the front porch. When he entered the driveway, another figure joined. As his headlights flashed on the porch, Katherine and Trevor were illuminated. She stood clad only in her jeans and a black bra, and he was shielded from the rain by a jacket. They were arguing.
Isaac got out of the car, “Come on Katharine!” he yelled, staring at Trevor. She turned to walk toward him, her face showing beauty through the rain. But she was jerked back by Trevor.
“You’re not leaving!” he yelled. Isaac briskly walked toward him.
“Let her go Trevor,” he growled.
“What are you going to do about it?” he said, holding Katharine by the stomach.
As Isaac got closer, Trevor forcefully shoved Katharine to the side. Reacting quickly, Isaac dove to catch her. She landed in his arms.
Isaac turned to face Trevor, but instead, faced the bottom of a boot coming down on his face. Pain shot through his head and blood began to flow out of his nose. He was groggy and had trouble getting to his feet.
Blood stained the wet grass as he got to his hands and knees, but felt a sharp pain in his side as Trevor kicked him, sending him to the side a few feet. Isaac rolled onto his back and looked at the blurry figure of Trevor.
“You know what happened?” Trevor yelled at Isaac, “Apparently, your little girlfriend can talk about it, but can’t actually do it. She slapped me when I made a move on her. Imagine that. Do you do that when a guy makes a move on you, queer?”
Isaac spat out blood, “Go ahead. Call me names. But leave her out of it-,” he saw shadow run to try and tackle Trevor.
“Leave him alone!” Katherine yelled. Trevor barely moved. He grabbed her by the neck.
“Who do you mean, Isaac, this little whore?” He turned to her, “real girls put out, bitch!” angrily, he held her out and back handed her across her left cheek. She hit the ground hard.
Isaac struggled to stand, “you son of a bitch,”
Trevor turned his attention to him, “Excellent, Isaac, I didn’t know you had a mouth on you. You know, that reminds me, Katharine has a very nice mouth on her too,” he smirked. Isaac just shook his head, raising himself to one knee.
“Now,” Trevor said, pulling something out of his back pocket, “it’s time to finish this,” Trevor revealed a switchblade. He smiled as he walked to an angry Isaac.
As Trevor moved to attack him, Isaac summoned enough energy to spear Trevor in the stomach and get him to the ground. Both blood and rain made it hard for Isaac to see Trevor’s face and the blade, but he pushed his right wrist to the ground, while driving his fist into Trevor’s face. Isaac did his best to try and knock Trevor out, but was stopped by another knee to the groin. This time, the attacker and defender were switched, as Trevor turned Isaac onto his back and got on top of him.
The rain turned to a mere drizzle as Trevor punched Isaac, “Really think that I would play nice?” Trevor smirked again as he began to strangle Isaac with his left hand. “See you in Hell!” he yelled as he raised the knife above his head.
A driving force in the form of Katharine hit him in the back and sent him falling to the side. Slowly, Isaac felt the fingers release from his neck. He worked his way from a sitting position, but was sent to the ground again when Katharine fell into him.
Isaac lay on his back as the light weight of her bosom pushed against his chest. He slowly moved his right hand down her virtually bare back to rest just above her rear. Passion traveled through both their bodies in this compromising position.
Her palms were tickled by the grass as they lay near his head, and her heart fluttered. Katharine had been in this position before, but she never felt like this. She looked down into his eyes and she lowered her mouth to his. As their lips were about to touch, a groan emitted from his mouth. Isaac’s hand fell off her back and onto his side. He pushed her up with his left hand. She sat, straddling him and gently moved her hands to the bottom of his shirt. He grasped her small hands, “No,” he groaned.
She put a finger to his lips, “Just let me look,” she said softly. Isaac nodded. She rolled the shirt upward to reveal a large bruise on his right side. Slowly caressing it, she wiped a tear away from her eye. Isaac sat up, and let one of his hands rest on her thigh, the other pulled her closer and lightly brushed her bruised cheek. Her head rested on his shoulder.
“Isaac,” she whimpered burying her chin in his strong shoulder.
“Shh,” he tried to calm her, nuzzling the back of her neck, “I’m going to be fine,” he said.
“Isaac…Trevor,” she nearly burst into tears.
He pushed her back, still holding on to her, “What?” he asked, staring deeply into her eyes.
All she could do was shake her head and point at a prone Trevor.
When he turned, he was horrified. Dried blood adorned the area below Trevor’s left shoulder. The knife was held bloodily in his hand.
“Katharine,” Isaac said with pain, “Help me up,” she stood and wrapped her arms around his right arm. Together, they were able to reach their feet.
Isaac limped over to his fallen enemy. “He has a pulse,” Isaac said out loud, “But it is very erratic,” he turned to her, “Katharine, call an ambulance,” She turned and ran inside. By now his vision began to return as the rain washed away most of the blood.
He gulped, wondering how they could get out of this innocently. He sat onto the grass, watching Trevor, and replaying the events that had happened again in his mind, stopping at the almost-kiss between him and Katharine.
The ambulance arrived quickly. After turning down a chance to get his wounds inspected, Isaac explained what happened, emphasizing the Trevor fell on the knife. The paramedics didn’t ask any more questions, and just said that Isaac and Katharine had better get some rest. As they left, he turned to her.
“So, I can’t drive,” he said.
“It’s three o’clock. I doubt anyone’s going to come and get us,” she sighed,
“Well, his parents are going to be gone until school starts, so I guess we can crash on the sofa,”
Isaac gulped. The prospect of not only sleeping in the same house, but on the same couch as Katharine slightly intimidated him. Trying to play it cool, he spoke, “Yeah…that’ll…er, that’s fine,”
Katharine laughed, “Ah. Don’t worry, I won’t bite,” she turned to walk in, but cast a mischievous grin over her shoulder, “or maybe I will,” He just shook his head and followed her, trying to not let his eyes stray from the back of her head.
She turned and sat on the arm of a sofa. Isaac gulped as he looked at her in the light. Her skin shined because of the water. Thank God she wore a black bra, Isaac thought.
“So how’s your side?” she asked as she arched her back.
Isaac took a deep breath, “Good,” he said looking all around.
“Something wrong?” she asked, trying to stifle a laugh.
“Nah, just cold, I guess,”
“You’re right,” she came to a realization and crossed her arms, trying to warm herself up. “We better get into some dry clothes, or we’ll catch pneumonia,”
Isaac coughed, then grimaced, grabbing his side, “What?”
“Wet clothes equals cold lungs. You didn’t pay attention in Health class, did you?”
He just shook his head.
“Hey,” she said, rising and walking toward him. “Can you…uh…help me with this, it always gets locked up,” Katharine turned and pointed to her bra strap. She looked over he shoulder.
“Uh…,” his hands shook as they moved toward the black line of fabric. Slowly, he unclasped it, as her hands moved to the front to cover herself up.
She turned to face him, “Thanks,” she smiled and walked past him into the hallway. He slowly turned and couldn’t help but admire her exit.
“Uh…, I don’t have anything to wear!” he called after her.
She laughed without turning, “Come on, I’ll find you something,”
He slowly followed her into the room she turned to. As he entered, she was facing away from him, pulling a pink shirt down. His eyes fell on her rear.
“Oh…my,” he took another deep breath. She had stripped out of her jeans and had incredibly short bottoms on that very much accentuated a heart-shaped behind. She turned and smiled.
“Like em’? I saw them at the mall last week, and I had to get them,” she pranced around the room for a bit, flaunting her attire.
All Isaac could do was nod. When she stopped, he looked at her shirt. It covered enough, but showed off her toned midriff. “Girl Power,” was displayed in black letters.
“Here,” she said tossing him a pair of gym shorts.
He caught them in his left hand, “I don’t get a cool shirt like yours?”
“I didn’t think you slept with a shirt on. With a broad chest like yours, I don’t see why you would,”
He blushed at her compliment, she smiled.
“Besides,” she moved closer, letting her chest brush against his, “I always say, flaunt it if ya got it,” She tossed her head and walked out of the room.
“I’d believe that,” he said under his breath.
“What?” he heard her ask.
“Nothing! Nothing at all,” he shook his head again and changed into the gym shorts. His heart beat rapidly. Was he really going to sleep next to her? A week ago, this wouldn’t have bothered him, but now? After he gained these feelings, it was hard even talking to her, no matter how clothed she was.
Maybe I can just call mom, he thought.
He nodded and walked out. Katharine was sitting on the couch.
“I called your mom, and told her that something had came up, and that we were both fine, but wouldn’t be home until around noon.
“Er…thanks,” he said, sitting down on a chair adjacent to the couch.
“No problem,” she slid over and crossed her legs, then tapped her hand on the spot by her, “C’mon, there is no way that you’re going to be able to get to sleep on that old thing,”
He gulped again. Was she trying to seduce him? Or was she just making a friendly gesture, forgetting the moment they had shared outside.
Isaac stood and sat down by her. They sat side by side for what seemed like ages, until he felt her hand creep onto his thigh.
“Look,” she said, turning to him,” his eyes moved around her face, admiring her wonderful brown eyes, and extremely kissable lips, “What happened out there,”
He spoke, “It…was-,”
She attempted to finish his sentence, “based on what was happening then. We both needed contact,”
Was she saying she didn’t feel anything?
“But…now…I don’t know,” her eyes fell onto his chest as she took his hand in hers. She traced the lines of his palm, and looked back into his eyes, “Every time…no. Since that day in your room. I’ve felt…something inside of me. I mean, I’ve been with a guy before, we didn’t really go all the way, but, I never felt that,”
He wrapped his hand around hers, “Katharine,”
“But now…I don’t know what to think. I mean, we haven’t even kissed…and I just-,” On instinct, Isaac moved forward and slowly pushed his lips into
hers. He moved back, lightly tugging on her bottom lip as he pulled away.
“What do you think now?” He whispered, smiling. She slowly touched her bottom lip then wrapped her arms around his neck and laid back, pulling him onto her. She grazed his lips.
She wrapped her arms around his neck and laid back, pulling him onto her. She grazed his lips.
“I think that you may be onto something,”
He held him self up with on hand and held her waist with the other. As they kissed, her hands shifted to the waistband of his shorts. As she began to tug them down, he stopped her. Knowing what he meant, she brought her hands back to his cheeks and continued to kiss him.
Isaac’s hands moved behind her and rested on her rear. Gently, he lifted her up to sit in his lap. He knew he didn’t want to do anything that he would regret, so he backed off for a bit.
“You alright?” she asked.
“Yeah,” he smiled. She pushed against him, and he lay down on the couch, letting her get on top of him. Not wanting to hurt him, she tried to lay on his left side. After on final romantic kiss, she pushed herself up and grabbed the blanket. He took it from her so that she could lower herself onto him, without applying pressure.
He raised up and kissed her on the forehead, as she moved down to lay her head on his chest, then let his right leg fall off the couch as she wrapped her legs around his left. Isaac ran his fingers through her hair as he whispered “good night,”
She faced the back of the couch as she took his hand in hers and closed her eyes, “good night,”

once again, i hoped you liked it. also, I have come to the realization that throughout the story, I have spelled Kat's name two different times. I am aware of this, and will fix it eventually.
