Wings of the Sun- Chapters 2and 3
Ok....here's chapter two and three, because chap 2 was so short, I decided to put them in teh same thingo....Enjoy

Rain and Taverns
Two figures sat at a corner table in a tavern.
“I wonder how long that rain is going to last?”
“Probably all night, though we should not linger long here Caden”
“I know, I know. But it can’t be helped Silen”
Silen slumped back into his chair as two people staggered into the tavern, dripping wet. The two sat at a table at the opposite side of the tavern to where Silen and Caden were sitting.
Silen eyed them suspiciously and nudged Caden, who looked at them as well.
“What’s wrong Silen?” Caden asked, “Do you sense something?”
“Yes. Those two that just walked in have a strange aura around them. Neither of them are human” Silen replied
“If we could only see their faces”
The two new people ordered drinks and lowered the hoods of their cloaks. Silen stared at them and was astonished by their looks. The boy sitting closest to them had unruly brown hair that was short; Silen couldn’t see anything else because he’s back was turned. The other had chestnut-brown hair pulled back into a long braid. He was young and had violet eyes. The violet-eyed boy mumbled something to his companion and he turned his head to the side to look at Silen. Silen nodded, noticing the cobalt-blue eyes and that they were both staring at him.

Broken Glass
“Why do you think he is staring at us?” Dyre asked, his pointed ears twitching.
“I don’t know” Wes replied looking back at Dyre “just don’t stare and finish your drink”
“No” Dyre stood up from his seat and stormed over to where Silen and Caden sat.
“Excuse me” Dyre announced once he was standing next to their table “would you mind telling me why you are staring at me and my companion?”
“Cause you’re too damn gorgeous beau’iful” a drunken man came up and slung an arm around Dyre’s shoulders before Silen could answer
“Are you lost?” Dyre asked the man, who was swaying slightly
“Nuh. But if you come wif me you’ll be lost” the drunk winked at Dyre and started to pull him toward the door.
“Excuse me” Wes glared daggers at the drunk.
“What are you? His boyfriend?” the drunk stood up straight and pushed Dyre, who stumbled over to the table Silen and Caden were at
“Does this always happen to you?” Silen asked Dyre
“No” he replied, “this is the first town we’ve come to from the woods”
The sound of breaking glass made him stop and look around. He noticed that Wes had thrown the drunk that was hanging off him through the window.
“Was that really necessary Wes?” Dyre asked
“The man was going to assault you Dyre” Wes replied, “what kind of question is that?”
“A perfectly logical one” Dyre insisted, putting his hands on his hips
Wes rolled his eyes “well, let’s go. We have to find somewhere to stay”
“We know somewhere you can stay” Caden announced, “Its small, but it should be alright for one or two nights”
Wes eyed Caden suspiciously “great” Dyre replied, plastering a grin on his face “my name is Dyre Manx. My companions name is Wes Canoe”
“I am Caden Chang, in the western order, and his name is Silen Baron. We only just got to this town this morning, when it wasn’t raining”
“Where did you come from?” Wes asked
“Myria, but we’re always traveling” Silen replied, “Did you say you came from the woods?”
Wes glared at Dyre, who shied away in fear.
“Are you going to tell everyone where we’ve come from?” he asked Dyre
“Would you like me to?” Dyre replied, and got a cuss behind the head.
“Owww. What was that for?”
“Your stupidity. So, are you two going to take us to that place to stay or what?”
Caden and Silen, who were watching everything, stood and paid the barman for the drinks.
“Follow us” Silen threw over his shoulder as he walked outside.
