I enjoyed reading this, and I must ask about the title. Does each paragraph correlate with the words of the title?

In a sense. The whole thing, really: A boy wakes up, delusional, in wretched pain, his wrists tied together by rope. He is lying on hard dirt, with the intense brightness of the sun burning in his eyes. He hallucinates a bit, and then dies.
