Crazy dude, if you're asking if the child also has an STD upon if the parent has one, then yes. In Africa, one in forty children have AIDS since birth.

You make it sound like the child is the disease. Being a father myself, I'd have to disagree with you. But then, I didn't carry my son in my belly for 9 months...

I've heard this before. They equate the growing child with a parasite since a parasite feeds off the body of the host. It's easily turned back on the person...do you consider yourself a parasite? A disease? If pregnacy is an S.T.D, then you, the infant, are the root of it. Not a very nice thought, is it?
When you have kids, you'll be able to see how truly misguided that thinking is.

This is debatable. I know a few people I'd call parasites, or a disease, and I pity their parents.

LOL, ok, point taken. That's what they grew up to be, not what they started out as

I feel really sorry for the kids who parents believe them to be a parasite...
In the medical, technical terms of things, no, pregnancy is not a sexually transmitted disease.

Ten says this one was raised to believe masturbation would result in God sending him to hell without passing "go" or collecting two hundred dollars.
Any takers?

A flawed concept and anyone supporting this theory would have to admit to being a parasite themselves. Once out of the womb the child continues to be tied to their parent or 'host' which also contradicts the disease idea. If it were a STD the 'afflicted' would be cured.
How a coathanger is relevant to this debate is a mystery to me but perhaps it's because I live in enlightened times.

Everyone's a parasite. Everyone's a disease. Unfortunately for the planet, it seems like humans are a terminal illness.

Good observation and although it's slightly off topic it made me think. Thanks!
