Thread: Funniest comedians

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone wanted to debate about their favourite comedians. Try and back up your argument with good evidence.

I think Ronnie Barker was fabulous because of his impeccable timing and fabulous ability to keep a straight face when he even says the funniest of things.

Ronnie Corbett is brilliant. Because of his height, he can base many jokes around that factor and produces marvellous strings of jokes.

Ken Dodd is superb in his timing and extremely funny. Obviously, his hair and his teeth add to the comic effect, plus his use of his tickling sticks and the Diddymen from Knotty Ash. I like his jokes with the: 'What a beautiful day for.....' eg 'dropping a cat on top of Reggie Bosanquet's head and saying: 'How's this the Mews at Ten!"

I simply love Russell peters even though most of his jokes are 'racist' and some of them apply to my self. But he is one of the four things that can make me laugh under even the most stressful conditions. The other tings are I.A.M Weasel (the cartoon), a very bad joke I heard, an old goat that our uncle owns and the absolutely ingenious swearing techniques that my friends use.
