    If you believe in Jesus

Then you must also believe in Satan, he and Jesus spoke. The Bible also mentions demonic possession, what do you think the implications are in our modern society?

I think everyone on here knows I think the Democratic Party is run by Satanists and likely was infiltrated by Satanists around the 1960's or 70's.

That's not to suggest most people or most politicians in the Democratic Party worship Satan - not with any intent at least. It's also not to suggest the Republican Party is the "good party."

I try to avoid the demonic and Satanic. I'm a simple and weak person. I'm satisfied on depending on God to provide my protection. And I know both evil and the demonic exist, so, I don't need convincing.

It's a good argument for having a pet pot-bellied pig. Just in case.
Do not think it a kindness.

You aren't aware of the many American women who have them as husbands?

I find it hard to believe anyone on WF could doubt Satan's existence. I mean, I've been posting here for a while now. It's not like I'm hiding or anything, and it's not like these horns are subtle.
Let's see if my above post is deleted without explanation. Wouldn't be the first time.

The Dark Lord is a beast at Guitar Hero. I've seen him five star Through the Fire and Flames on expert. Jesus still hasn't forgiven him for it.

I believe that demonic possession is certainly a possibility in modern society, though I'm not the type to see Satan in a baked potato.

That would be an odd place to see him.

Do you think that Hitler of say Jeffery Dahmer are examples of demonic possession?

I make a distinction between demonic possession and mental insanity, though I can't say with certainty whether either man was possessed. I'm no expert in exorcism or demons, but I do believe demon possession can manifest symptoms of mental insanity. My personal belief is that there are those gifted in discernment who are able to tell whether those in their presence are possessed. I've been accused of having a variety of demons in me, from the demon of lust to the demon of swearing. I do not believe demons are categorized into various sins that way. Then again, as I said, I'm not an expert.

One thing I believe more than anything on the topic is that many well-intended folks use demonic influence as an excuse for their behavior ("The Devil Made Me Do It" syndrome).

There is a distinction between demonic oppression and demonic possession. The latter is a case of a person being more fully under the control or influence of the demonic.

Oppression is often more subtle with a persons will more intact. Theoretically, most people suffering from oppression would not know it.

Even in the case of possession a person still has will - some will. But they are so controlled by the demons that exorcism is needed to rid them of the demons.

Demons causing oppression can be cast away by a Priest in a single sitting. So far as I know a person can rid them by themselves as well, through a conversion of heart and transformation in thought and behavior.

But demonic oppression can lead to a greater fall - especially for those that dismiss the possibility of demons oppressing them.

If demons and angels exist then they are ancient and have studied man's behavior and personality traits since time immemorial. They would know us better than we know ourselves. What that means is they are dangerous adversaries.

Furthermore, man goes through stages of growth. It is unlikely a 20 year old is as wise as a 60 year old. What I'm suggesting is there are opt times for the demonic to ensnare, lead astray, men and women.

According to Malachi Martin demons work through family lines. In other words, they go from grandfathers down to grandsons.

And Hitler and Dahmer were at minimum oppressed by demons in my opinion. But I'm stating that in the view of man as empty cup with the waters of God and the waters of Satan competing to fill him as a cup. That does not negate will and in fact it has everything to do with man's will. Hitler turned from the face of God and took up idolatry.

I do find it funny that a lot more people fear Satan than they do God. People will readily curse God, use him name in vain and laugh him off. The same people fear Satan and won't dare to challenge him.

Satan is an employee of God. God desires to punish people. He doesn't want to get his hands dirty. So he has Satan do it. God, through a proxy, deliberately inflicts unimaginably horrific eternal torture on the everliving souls of those who did not meet his exacting standards or qualify for his forgiveness. It follows implicitly that when Satan tempts humans, such as Eve, or human/gods such as Jesus, he is doing so at the behest of God.

If Satan were the archenemy of God in a Zoroastrian dichotomy of light and darkness/good and evil, God would not be all powerful.
