Former Prime Minister Said Musa is a personal friend of Fidel Castro, and Fidel periodically sends him boxes of cigars. When I was still smoking I would find an excuse to be around the PM's office, stick my head in the door, comment on the aroma, and walk away with three or four Cuban cigars in my hand.

Kids, that's why you should become reporters. You probably won't become as rich and famous as some other writers, but you'll always have little extras like this and because you hang around with people like the Right Honourable Prime Minister and the Honourable Minister of Administrative Affairs you'll always hear the inside story. Of course if you always report the inside story you may be transferred one day, and no one will know where to.

The BIG mystery question is why waste good money (in a university) to learn how to despise Santa Claus and anything related to Christ and Christmas? I know people who excel at that crap, and it didn't cost them a dime.

Usually where there's smoke, there's a fire; where there are people, there are scandals. You're old enough and smart enough to understand that. Instead of pointing fingers every which way, people need to start checking out their own back yards. Betcha' they find plenty of skeletons buried there.

I don't actually despise Santa Claus or anthing related to Christ or Christmas. Actually I love Christmas. That wasn't the point. You seem very keen on jumping to conclusions. I merely wanted to state, which I believe I also did, that just because someone has been named a saint doesn't mean he isn't capable of the same crimes that any other human is.
