When we say Martial arts, What comes to mind first?

Guys I am planning to write a kung fu story soon but ok I want to know see the responses of the community as a whole not including those who practice martial arts... or seen History channel's Human Weapon

When we say Martial arts in laymen terms, What comes to mind first?

Chinese Kung Fu only? or
Martials arts as a whole including less known Styles?

I think people automatically thinking Martial Arts = Kung Fu is turning 'old fashioned', or already has, because people are more aware of things like karate and various other fighting styles...but I think 'martial arts' may still automatically make people think of Asian styles.
