Lady Scarlet's Protege

Alright, this is a highly-developed female character who is currently being used in a text-based role-playing game and who I am intending to portray as the main protagonist in future novels. I'll give a synopsis of her personality and backstory.

She was born, by a much aggrieved accident, to the notorious Lady Scarlet, a skilled and rather sought after prostitute in the slums district of a Rome-based city. She was particularly deranged, maniacal, and while she succumbed to the desires of her clients, she would unleash dominance and pain against her young, reckless daughter. The daughter, rarely returned to Scarlet's lavish apartments, opting to wander the streets, honing her survival skills and associating with the infamously shady folk belonging to various gangs. She affiliated with the flamboyant gang, the individuals choosing the appealing facade of tricks and performance to obscure their true intentions. Thus, she inherited a keen sense of aesthetics, a love for art (however dark the subject), and an intense sense of being. She was growing into a striking beauty, and her mother recognized her potential to inherit the 'family business.' Eventually, she managed to seize the rebellious daughter, and forced her into the practice. She was characterized as fiery, intense, uncontrollable, stubborn, yet undeniably feminine, captivating, and caustic in her witty quirps and oddly philosophical propositions.

Anyways... I've been writing a physical description for her, and I'd like an accessment and some advice. It's supposed to suit her personality as well as her background, and of relatively short length. I'd prefer no explicit personality traits portrayed, such as "eyes glittering with unknown sadness," and whatnot. I'm particularly interested in an alternative to almond-shaped, and a more unique alternative to her skin. Any advice, critique, and suggestions are appreciated. Here's what I have so far...

You see a slender woman. Her angular features are exotic, with high cheekbones and a full, sensual mouth. The warm golden hue of her skin intensifies the vivid green of her bold, almond-shaped eyes. Long, fiery crimson hair cascades freely down her back, voluminous and wild.

Tell me what you think!

Try not to describe in a laundry list but from other characters perspective or from herself.
"She stared at her image in the mirror. Her high cheeekbones required little makeup to highlight and when she did, she used a color to bring the green of her eyes out."
"Johnson marveled at how hair glistened in the candle light and the red becoming almost black in the dark." such and such
