Help From Published Authors
Tom Clancy once said if you don't like what he writes, write your own book and he'll help you get it published. I thought it was meant to be a little facetious, but he went on to explain how novelists like to help each other.
Do you write an established author a letter and flat out ask him to write a blurb to include on the jacket? I have hard enough time asking people I know for help, much less the writers I like. I also have a suspicion that it's the agent that contacts other authors for blurbs.
Has anyone here gone about getting help from an established author?
