I`m not sure we can help if we don`t know even the basic outline. OK its action/adventure but when? Past, present, future?

Protagonist....male/female? Antagonist.....same again? Love interest?

There are four basic types of plots for A/A novels and your story will be one of them. A little more detail without giving the game away would help.

alright, sorry bout that. its present time, like around now or maybe a few years in the future basically. I have a few characters already outlined, the main two being a male and a female. I could get alot more help if i could go more in detail but im worried about somebody stealing my ideas and dont feel comfortable posting them all online. (BTW does anybody know if you can get the rights to like basic ideas so i dont need to worry about this???)

Anyways the man and woman work sort of at a government agency. Most of my characters incuding them are in their 20's and most of my stories include alot of action and adventure, but also some suspence, romance, ect. Not looking big on Drama, or not at least for the first book anyways.

I think that you need to use setting a hell of a lot in an A/A piece of work. But some of the basic areas I can think of, without going into what your ideas are,

1/ Oil rig (lots of flamable liquid makes for a good firefight and it is usually very cramped so there is some time for close quarters)

2/ A city in Brazil (this provides an exotic location, hundreds of possible fighting areas, human shields for bad guys and hotels and houses for the love interest part to play out)

3/ Moscow (always a great setting for A/A. The Russians are obviously going to try and kill your characters by any means (they're Russians after all and thats what Russians do in A/A) and it being a city also provides the advantages in my point above.

yeah, i had some of those in mind already. I was going to have russains later on in my series during maybe the last couple stories, and i have parts of the first 3 in a tropical location like miami, cuba, or brazil. Like some of the villanis in each story will be like a human group such as north koreans, russains, muslum terrorists, ect. but i am thinking about for the first story having it be a US organization and a fictional street gang.
