Not another Catcher

So I'm sitting here, pen poised and blank page in front of me- ready to tell you all about my rubbish life and crummy family.
No, my name is not Holden and I'm not about to tell you all about my happy adventures in New York after I got kicked out of my Preppy school on account of being too dammed smart.
I bet my Parents dwindling college fund that you've just about had it up too here with people like me...that is to say-young people who think there gonna change the world just by sitting here and telling you straight what i think needs fixing.
Still, even if you do find those...or is it them things interesting (sorry, as you can tell I don't normally do these kinds of things and FYI- the spelling mistakes are not for affect) I've already decided you sweet folks are gonna sit pretty and listen to a different kind of fantasy story.
That's another thing you guys are probably done with. Princess Alewin and how some guy has stolen this peice of metal, or a knife that can cut a man up real good. Besides, although people say I've got a big imagination (mostly Psychologists)- I'm not really into that type of thing.
So, as you've probably gathered by now- I'm sixteen, a bit of a loner although I never actually get a minute to myself and I just read a pretty good book- To kill a Mocking Bird and now i fancy myself as a writer.
Want to read more?
Go on, I dare you.

Wow, you read To Kill A Mocking Bird at sixteen ? Even in my horrible public school we had that read in middle school, and saw the play. Same with Where the Red Fern Grows. You typed numerous words, but said very little. You have a story to tell but posted none of it, so I am guessing this is your introduction. If that is the case, it needs work. First you say you have a story comparable to Catcher in the Rye but next you say you have a fantasy tale. So what was the point of this thread sir ?

I was not trying to be harsh or critical of you, I apologize if I came across that way. From your description, the story sounds very similar to Catcher in the Rye. Your introduction was not horrible if that is what it is intended to be. Though you did not introduce any character besides the narrator, and he doesn't even have a name.

If you liked Catches and Mockingbird, another book I would suggest reading would be The Chocolate War by Robert Cormier. I read it in high school, it was really good. Recently re-read it, and it still holds up.
