Fundamentals of a Modern Day Fool

I like to fool things. Consider it a type of hobby. Or, if you wish to really throw things into a twist, consider this a product of my obsession, or simply a condition that I might have been born with: perhaps, OCD? Well, nevertheless, the fact remains that I do, indeed, love to fool things.
Great, that is off my shoulders. Now, may I continue?

I do not like to fool animate things.
Animate meaning lifelike, things that can breathe, feel, predict things. You see, fooling animate things is much too easy, much too boring. I need something to fool that is unpredictable, cunning, full of unprecedented wisdom, et cetera.

That is why I like to fool inanimate objects.
It seems illogical, I know, considering inanimate objects don’t react to any such…fooling. It would seem that way, would it not? But nay! I have seen it happen! I have fooled with many objects—staplers and push pins, lamps, computers… Oh yes, and I find it quite amusing. Quite would actually be an understatement, I consider it teeming with amusement.

…You’re probably saying to yourself, “why am I even reading this?”
You know what; I ask you the same thing. Why? Why would such a strange title draw in a reader, such an illogical title?
Quite frankly, I have no idea where I am going with this.
I just like to fool things.

Tell me what you think, please. Harsh criticism, compliments tossed in there, whatever.

the "of" before "objects" in the third line of the third paragraph seems extraneous.

I found this short piece quite delightful, definitely engaging, as a personality study of the narrator. arch? mephistophelian? or having much knowledge but no sense - the best sort of fool? I couldn't really decide.

the only discordant note was the description of inanimate objects as cunning and full of unprecedented wisdom; there isn't really a satisfactory explanation for this in the next paragraph, although there most likely isn't intended to be. It tripped me up as a reader, though.

Haha, thank you.

I'll go through and see what I can do to make it better.
