Actually I was thinking Ovoviviparity
Ovoviviparous animals develop within eggs that remain within the mother's body up until they hatch or are about to hatch. This strategy of birth is known as ovoviviparity. It is similar to vivipary in that the embryo develops within the mother's body. Unlike the embryos of viviparous species, ovoviviparous embryos are nourished by the egg yolk rather than by the mother's body. However, the mother's body does provide gas exchange.
Ovoviviparity is employed by many aquatic life forms such as fish and some sharks, reptiles, and invertebrates. The young of ovoviviparous amphibians are sometimes born as larvae, and undergo metamorphosis outside the body of the mother.
Wikipedia
But, this feature will only be restricted to ground dwelling species and most of them are independent from birth usually within 24 hours.
Pigeon Milk anyone?

OK Now I have come across a problem..... I should have stop watching movies.....
Basically here's a copyright problem but I wonder if it's plagarism....
To put in short, Kelly and her brother, James, are now on a environmentalist exploring ship to locate the Great Auks after one was washed up onto an island. Kelly was called to identify the dead bird. So Kelly identified it as a Great Auk which was twice its normal size.
Kelly was wondering.... how did the Great Auks and survived the humans.
James added saying that how this dead Great Auk on Kelly's table pecked his comrade's foot and his hand furiously. Kelly meanwhile refused to believe that since she remembered that Great Auk have no fear of humans.
James mentioned something
"Jie, I think I remember something from a famous movie..... One of the character mentions that Fear leads to anger then it leads to hate.... then for humans that's suffering but for animals...." "hate leads to a chance in survival...."

Umm, shouldn't this thread go on Research?
Anyway, Creator I think at this point you should take a break, think your story through, write a Synopsis (a real one, not a two-liner like on your first post), and then we can all help you figure out the rest.
BTW, awesome drawing skillz, I wish I had some of those, what do you eat? LOL

The pieces are falling nicely thanks to Writer's cafe program. But anyway..... This is a discussion thread for my tales.. but then the "Fear---> Anger--->Hate" seemed very star wars. but it does apply... so is this plagarism...?

I don't think it is, I mean it's a natural human response, right? (fear-->anger-->hate) the only way it would be plagiarism is if you use it in the same way George Lucas did

Actually the Fear--Hate theory can also help animals that don't fear humans to survive in this case the extinct great auk!
In the Bird Sanctuary universe and in real life[if god decides to give them a chance], there just happened to have two behaviour genotypes in Auks.
Genotype 1 is more familiar, the defenseless Auks which have no apparent fear of humans. No wonder they got extinct.
Genotype 2[if we are lucky this one exists???] is not that defenceless and they fear and also very much hate humans that certain aspects of their G1 behaviour is now changed or even opposite! This one outlived G1 genotypes and continued to thrive on the Bird Sanctuary Islands. I will be arranging a flock of them to peck at the characters.Even a clumbersome seal would find itself driven away. That's teamwork for you.
Well this should work.

Basically the Ovoviviparity, the wierd anatomy, and behaviour of my birds are all defences that have evolved in defense of a certain bird that has rat like lifestyle and also alien species.
