Any response would be very welcome, maybe just a meow to say you read it? Anything at all folks. If your wondering what this is, part of a big story trilogy thing... hoping to atleast get to chapter 10

. Or more or less a practice story where I accept the plot line in my head far enough that I am willing to work on it as if it was going to be published. Anyways... This is edit number 4 on this chapter, curious if theres anything else That should be done.
Lennox’s breath quickened as he trudged his way up, rock by rock, up the steep mountain of Yahari. His hand slipped on one of the passing stones; he quickly reacted by flattening his body against the mountain. Sweat poured down the back of his neck as he summoned inner strength and continued the dangerous crawl up the mountain. The sharp edges of the rocks cut into his fingers like dull knives. He felt sweat crawl all over his body as warm air dried out his lungs. Finally, his hand hit against the cool tingle of grass as he struggled, kicking against the dirt, to push himself over onto the plateau. He glanced around for his companions, as a rustle escaped from the large set of trees on his side. He froze in place, hand tightly grasping his small, long, knife. A boy leaped from the forest rushing at Lennox. He stopped suddenly and barked. Lennox swore as he relaxed from his battle stance and pushed his friend with agitation. A girl emerged from the trees and took a seat on a large rock, glancing at the two boys.
“So” said Crevin, stretching, “Did you get the ropes and torches?” The boy had now laid down to refresh himself on the cool grass.
“Yeah I got them”, replied Lennox, coldy. “I got it from the merchant by my house a week ago, I told you already.” Lennox took a seat resting against a tree away from his friend. Its pine needles branches gave off a cool shade to cover all of his body except his out stretched foot.
“How about the water and provisions, we got that?” asked Crevin.
“Yeah” Lucia cut in before Lennox responded, “The merchant by Sylia, remember?”
“Oh right,” said Crevin, “Everyone remembers where and when to go?”
“Yes, we know, we’re leaving together, remember idiot.” Spat out Lennox with venom.
“Are you still mad about me scaring you?” asked Crevin annoyed. “Get over it man.”
“You wouldn’t be as happy If I had jammed that knife through your chest…” whispered Lennox. Everyone stayed quiet for a time as an air of uncomfortableness spread over the plateau.
“So, is everyone sure about this journey?” asked Crevin breaking the silence. No one replied.
“Guys, you sure?” said Crevin. A period of another silence followed
“Guys!” yelled Crevin.
“Shut up.” Said Lennox.
“Screw you, your noble pricken.” replied Crevin. A period of another silence followed.
“Sheep Boy ?.” asked Lennox.
“What did you just say? Said Crevinen, raged.
“Yeah, Sheep Boy, remember, that’s your name.” Said Lennox smiling; rising to his feet.
They both leered at each other before Lucia finally came in.
“Sit down you two, will you? I know how much you want to impress me, but a bloody face won’t be the best idea.” Crevin and Lennox both settled down and went to sit in opposite sides of the open field. They were surrounded by trees on either side of them. A dark entrance to a cave was in front of them and a ledge was behind them.
For a while, the three of them simply sat there, entangled in their own thoughts. Eventually Lennox grew bored and gave a quick glance at Lucia as she sat on a rock, relaxed, staring at him contently. Meanwhile Crevin was pacing back and forth, hands behind his back as he usually was whistle in deep thought. The last three weeks have been nothing but effortless determination to muster up money, courage, and a lot of energy to accomplish getting supplies for their trip within Snowlen Cave. It was said to be haunted, filled with treasure, guarded by a monster, defended by a force field and even the house of a god. Usually, legends like these would cause one to tremble, and it did, but no one wanted to appear scared. They got this far and still, it sometimes felt like a dream, like they were just gonna play along of going into the cave, yet never having to actually venture into it. None of them really felt comfortable about the whole idea, and an air of uncertainty seemed to hang around the clearing.
Lucia leaned back and let the breeze carefully carry her long, cocoa hair throughout the air as her slender face took in a deep breath of fresh mountain air. She stretched her body back, in a relaxed pose, as she yawned with delight. Lennox attempted to look away from Lucia, but every once in a while he lost navigation of his eyes as they veered towards her. Crevin, meanwhile also stopped pacing to look at her, just as Lennox’s and Crevin’s eyes caught each other. Crevin smiled mockingly at Lennox who was a year younger than Crevin, and was also much smaller. Crevin practically towered over Lennox at six feet tall. Crevin had short orange hair, and a much more bulky body than his friend. Lennox had smooth Black hair reaching down to his mid-neck, a Body like a large cat, and was very confused on the issues of life. Even though Lennox never bothered to show it, but many little things bothered him.
“For example, being 800 feet above his house on a mountain cliff, without his father’s consent worried him deeply.” Thought Lennox, The worst-case scenarios continued to run through his head one after another.
"His father’s hunter friends would pass through one of the tall trees encircling the group, and glare at him in surprise and anger. Then he would be forced to come home only to find his father waiting at home with an expression of a Red Lenninon ready to pounce. That would lead to him not coming to the adventure, which would lead to Crevin and Lucia finding someone else to go, and he would probably flirt with Lucia, then she wouldn’t like him any more, but he didn’t know if she liked him, but he reminded himself she was only his friend but the idea of something more kept bothe-“ his thought was broken as he was thrown back into reality and remembered that he still hadn’t removed his gaze from Lucia. She politely cleared her breath and stared at him perkily, just as his cheeks began to turn a deep cherry red. Crevin began to crack up behind him, leaning against the tree to control himself from falling.
“Hey Len,” said Lucia.
“Yeah…” responded Lennox.
“Next time you wanna look at me, just let me know, so I don’t feel like I’m being watched by Gregor the old who sits by my house every morning.” said Lucia playfully. “Whose eyes seem to always trail to my window, kinda like yours did now there.” Lucia winked.
His cheeks turned an even deeper red as Crevin continued laughing behind him with new found fervor. Lennox swung around punching Crevin into the arm, sending him hopping back. Crevin rubbed it slightly and continued laughing as he jumped back to avoid the next blow.
“So you wanna wrestle, do ya?” Asked Crevin eyeing Lennox.
“Come on…!“ Cried out Lennox as he began to run away to avoid Crevin’s assault. Crevin followed after him, tackling Lennox’s face into the dirt.
“Ahh, you little Sheep Child…” said Lennox as he began to get up after Crevin rolled off him, laughing even louder than before.
Lennox got up rubbing his hurt shoulder and saw as Lucia began to descend through the mass of trees, back towards town. Once Crevin saw, he gave a quick glance to Lennox and they both dashed on off after her.
