Plagerism

i just saw a book in the book shop, (it was somthing about three)
it had the EXACT same plotline of a movie (the black cauldron it's a cartoon) that i had saw in like 1997.
the book had the same character names.
it was first published in 2002 and no mention of the movie in the 2nd reprint or what ever you call it (dated 2004)
how come this was published?

it wouldnt happen to be a book by Lloyd Alexander by any chance? Because the cartoon you are talking about was based off of his series. Im going to take a not-so-wild guess and say you were looking at "The Book of Three".

In the future, try to look into things a bit more before throwing around accusations. The 2002 date was just the date of that purticular publishing of his book(s).

oh, and it was first published in the '60s, by the way.

i don't see any accusations in that post, cw... cd is merely asking a question politely [and hoping for a polite reply, i'm sure]...

cd... books often do mention that a movie's been made from them, but they just as often don't...

love and hugs, maia
