What should I do?

I recently submitted an article to a local magazine, "New Writers" mag. Really I can't say recently since it's been over two months now and I have had NO response from them. There's no phone number for me to reach them, so I e-mailed..., no response. What else can I do? [/quote]

Unfortunately, it sounds like they're either not interested, or your story was lost. Perhaps that particular story didn't quite fit in with that magazine or what they were specifically looking for. If it's a well-written story, I'm sure you'll find a magazine that would be happy to print it for you. I agree with abrock on this--send it to someone else until you get a response.

Good luck!

Talia_Brie is an unknown quantity at this point
Is two months a long time to wait for a response? In Australia the standard is 12 weeks. Deano, I'm not sure where you are.

That being said, no response from an email requesting information would be disappointing.

Check the website to see if the submission guidelines have a time period to wait, and when that period expires, send it somewhere else. It's a little unprofessional to submit to multiple markets, but if New Writers aren't responding inside the timeframe they've outlined, then they miss out.

Yes, I've submitted my work to the correct publisher. It's an article about writing called, "Successful In Writing." I sent it to "New Writers" mag. wich print articles about the writing experiences.

As for you in Ausrtalia, three months is a long wait. I'm in the States and two months should plenty long enough for this type of magazine. It's circulation is local in my state (which is small compaired with the rest of our country.
