Idea that needs work

I have always loved the idea of massive ammounts of luck. I don't remember where I heard it but there was a legend that went something like there was so much good luck that it would actually make bad luck for everyone else.
Which being the person I am turned it into a bet. Now some lucky fellow would be the subject (kind of like Job but in reverse) of a celestial bet between Luck and Death. So the bet would be that luck could out do death for a certain ammount of time. So the story would circle around this person who now has the best luck in the world and his journey to find out what it going on, eventually coming face to face w/ death himself.

Good idea bad idea?

Excellent idea. I think I'm going to steal it

No, only kidding. That's an excellent idea. If you've read any of Robert Jordan's wheel of time books he does this type of thing with Mat Cauthon.

If you haven't, then I wouldn't necessarily suggest picking them up for this element only, because they're pretty dense, and I think it's about 4 or 5 books in before it starts to happen.
