Idea of friends

I have a novel i am working on. It is about two friends who within the first 5 chapters gain a special power and become heroes and the rest of the book just kind of tells their story with alot of twists and turns. I was hoping to kind of make a series kind of like The Hardy Boys or even the Mack Bolan series. The only twist would be that every book ties into one another so you have to what happens next. I am not sure how good an idea this would be, but i want to give it s shot. If any one can give me any idea or thoughts on it that would be great.

Kat is an unknown quantity at this point
It's hard enough to write one book let alone a series. I would just focus on the first and then worry about the rest when your done. You may find that at the end of the first one you are sick of the idea and don't want to deal with it anymore or you can't wait to write more.

Yea, Kat is right. Only plan a serrie of books if you are sure you can handle it. Im writing a serie of three books now (called a triology... wow) becouse each of the three parts is way to long to all skwees in one book. It has a lot of potential to be published,so therefor im already planning ahead.
