good idea. if anyone wants to argue then just argue amongst yourselves. i am here as a discerning critic. harsh. honest. uncompromising and rude.

Hmm. And back in another forum, I saw you write:

I'm very confused here, because I though the definition of a critic is one who criticizes.
One of the reasons people post their work on WF is to get criticism, whether it be positive, negative, or constructive. To criticize something is not necessarily bad, although in our culture today we generally think of it as that way, which it is not.

I was joking (referring to the second quote). I am here to criticise people. It is the only way people will improve - I constantly ask people to criticise my work and have got some good criticism but most people just say "that's great" or "that's crap". Too many critics are either spineless or pointlessly scathing.

When you arrive, Godisthyname, baiting people by associating yourself with God, by celebrating your own arrogance and, just today, by announcing your intention to be rude, it seems to me you've lost your credibility for saying, "I thought this was literary criticism."

You are neither discerning nor well placed to criticise, godisthyname. You have neither the skills nor the abillity to accept other people's critique. I wash my hands of you and won't post here or in any other of your works but I honestly hope to god that you can get over this problem.

Well now who's being rude? Anyway I frankly couldn't care less what your reasons are for saying this. I would be interested to know why you believe that I have neither the skills nor the ability to accept other people's critique (should be criticism but never mind). So for some reason you seem to have made up your mind that you know me better than anyone else even though you have heard so little from me - well then well done reading my character and even possibly my mind, what's your next trick?

hahaha Lily I understand entirely that expression. I was suddenly taken aback by this vile rebuke against my good name. People don't come onto these forums and submit their work purely to have their arses kissed, they come on here for criticism. So I give criticism and suddenly somebody attacks me. Really some people. Sheesh.
