Writing groups

Hi,

I was wondering If anyone knew of any good writing groups or coarses, through mail or online, Im kind of weary about the online though. I was in the Writing for Childrens Literature, mail order coarse, but I didnt finish it, because I took too long completing the second assignment(I really got into creating my story, and it was longer than it should have been.) I did send it out to them but didnt recieve a reply. Awhile later I recieved a Long Ridge Writers Group Test in the mail, I thought about doing the test and joining but never got around to it. I had just found this online group, but wasnt sure about it, its called Writers Village University, it says they charge $5.99 a month for unlimited coarses. If anyone knows anything about them, let me know, that would be great, well thanks for reading. Everyone have fun writing bye.

I've been a member of Writer's Village for over 3 years. In that time, I've had a bakers dozen or so short stories published, written a novella and a screenplay. Currently working on a novel. Could I have done it with out what I've learned at WVU, probably - but it would have been a lot harder. In my opinion, membership there is worth every penny. To get an idea of what it is like you could try their free course F2K. I don't have the link handy - just type F2K into any search engine.

Blessings
Kat
