Of Mice & Men

Nothing can describe how good Of Mice & Men was. It may be the only fiction book I will ever read (I was never so big on fiction books until this one came around). Due to a temporary mind lapse, I have forgotten the author's name but the story tells of two men (one dumb and large George and another smart and cynical Lennie) who work on a ranch during the depression era. Both hope to one day own their own ranch. Then, one day, they get a shot at living their dream. Everything goes well until George's obsession of petting soft things ( mice and rabbits ) creates a disastor and Lennie is left with two very hard choices.

I highly to the Nth degree recommend this book. It was AMAZING!

Most people here will probably agree with you on this one. There seem to be quite a few Steinbeck readers here.
