Apparently, Robert Jordan, of the Wheel of Time fame, died today.

It was announced on his blog.

I have to admit, I didn't like his books, or his writing, but it is always sad to see a man who was practically legend, pass.

I loved the first wheel of time book.... I only got as far as the third and would like to read the whole series eventually... the problem is that his books seem to take so long to read. I can read another authors 700 page book in a couple weeks, but it seems to take a few months to read a Jordan book.

I remember reading that he was sick and might not even be able to finish the series a while back..
