Next - Michael Crichton

How is it? Has anyone read it yet?

I want to read it, but it's only available in hardcover for the time being and I dont want to spend that kind of money. I also dont want to rent it from the library because reading a book from a library is like having sex with a hooker (to me) it feels dirty.

I picked it up at the airport on my way out here to North Carolina a few weeks ago. I personally don't think it's as good as his other works but I haven't even finished it yet. It got pretty boring pretty fast. There are alot of characters who's paths don't ever seem to cross, so each chapter is a continuation of a story from a few chapters earlier. I personally just can't get into it. I've read almost all of crichtons books and this one seems to be the worst so far.

Damn that's dissapointing. I'm a pretty big Crichtonite (I made that word up just now, it means "fan of Michael Crichton")

But ya i'm dissapointed so far. I've finished a few other books since I started Next. Which is really sad because I usually can't put down anything he writes.
