Shattered Icon - Bill Napier
If like me you think Dan Brown should never have been published then this book will set all thoughts of the inane drivle of Mr. Brown to the back of your mind.
This book very cleverly switches from third person to first, then switches main character in leaps through history. You become absorbed not only in the modern story of the main character, but the character depicted in Elizabethan times.
This is a well thought out thriller, tying religious themes to moments in history in a way that Dan Brown only wishes he could. If you like a mixture of thriller and history then you really should read this book. Whether you are a conspiracy buff or not.
