I picked up Pat Conroy's "Beach Music" last week off a shelf at work with a bunch of shlock "Top 40" novels. I expected it to be very lightweight, but it turned out to be very interesting.

I'm reading "Prince of Tides" now.

Any thoughts on Conroy from a writer's perspective?
