I need help with Killer Angels
Hi, I need to write an essay about the 02 quotes in the books, and what did Lee, Buford, Longstreet, and Chamberlain respond to them.

01. (E. M. Forster) "I hate the idea of causes, and if I had to choose betraying my country and betraying my friend, I hope I should have the guts to betray my country."

02. (Woodrow Wilson) "When men take up arms to set other men free, there is something sacred and holy in the warfare."

Please help me , I'm just moved here and my English is very limited. This history class is too hard to follow . I'm so worried and confused about this essay.

The quotes seem to be about helping men singular, rather than doing things for a main cause, where strength is in numbers.
