I just finished The Brotherhood of the Rose by David Morrel and I highly recommend it. If you are more into the nonfiction area then I suggest Ghost Soldiers by Hampton Sides and Escape from Davao by John D. Lukacs. Both are about POWs in WWII in the Pacific, but on opposite ends of the war.

The Oath by Frank Peretti. best book ever written. Also try Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton, this one was WAY ahead of its time.
