Noxicity

We lost our first one today. She was just too weak to gone on, so we sat with her through the night until she passed. Her name was Angelica and she was only three years old. The anguish I feel is indescribable. We buried her along the side of a large warehouse, marking the spot with a make shift cross. Quick clinical note: I noticed she bore symptoms of radiation sickness. As I look around at the others I think she may not be the only one. I will have to keep an eye on this, although I don’t know what I’ll be able to do if another one gets sick. There are no standing hospitals and no medical supplies on hand. Maybe on the other side of the city? We have to keep moving.
