I'm a big military buff, I like to keep up to date on military tech. For example, I think the US Army should have adoped the XM8 instead of continuing the M16 line. Its a superior weapon hands down. And that India has a better SAM system (Akash) than America's Patriot system.

I wouldn't join the military right now. Would I if America went to war, other than Afghanistan/Iraq? It depends on who we are fighting. I don't want to go toe-to-toe with Russia for example. Their S-400 is scary. ...

Well, yesterday I got back from my cousin's military wedding in Madison. It was very neat, at the end, six marines (3 on each side) lined up into two rows and raised their swords in the air, and my cousin and his wife passed under the swords. The two guys in front lowered their swords, barring their way. He welcomed my cousin's wife into the Marine corp, and let them pass.

Ok, born out of a slightly creepy discusson in the Dinner thread, I'm going to write about a guy who kidnaps Alton Brown and cooks his ribs. While Alton is forced to watch, and even eat his own ribs. I bet he regrets making that recipie now.
